These anime have a blend of action and comedy who are the mandatory staples for Shonen Jump series of the 1980's. The tone of these series range from comedic to serious but contain a wide range of characters and multiple sequels that are still popular today. The most common elements found in these shows are their constant battle of good vs evil who both heroes, Goku & Kinnikuman, fight against wacky villains, robots, aliens and even Gods.

Oldschool anime about wrestling, with masks and manly men. Tiger Mask is even referenced in Kinnikuman.

Both are about superheroes In both, we have a protagonist who starts weak and becomes strong Kinnikuman follows like a parody anime, making satire to diverse tokusatsu and animes of heroes and strong protagonists of its time. My Hero Academia is a standard and serious shounen, where situations are given as something really dangerous.

Despite Kinnikuman having a significantly less serious tone than GNG (GNG have some humor too, but not that much), I still recommend both to fans of both series. Especially if you're a fan of 80s Toei series and like some over-the-top action and MANLY moments with the atypical heroes (samurai-like dogs and the weird superheroes)!

The wrestling vibes and great fights makes sure that fans of Kinnikuman will also appreciate this classic. If you enjoy crime fiction, journalism, adult shounen protagonists, wrestiling, cool costumes and amazing moves please check this one out.

Both Toriko and Kinnikuman got bad animation , and issues with Filler thanks to both being made by Toei Animation , but their both decent anime

Believe it or not, both these animes have things in common. Kinnikuman and One Punch Man are both satires to the "hero" ideology. Both series start with their protagonists trying to protect the world from monster attacks but both Kinnikuman and Saitama are underlooked by society. While Kinnikuman starts as a weak superhero but further progresses through the story and Saitama is already overpowered from beginning to end, both series feature over the top action, comedy, manliness, muscles, violence and friendship.

They got the same kind of humor and whacky art.

Both series feature incredibly heroic men, manly tears and very masculine fights. While Kinnikuman is more humorous in tone, Kinnikuman's characters are just as likable as the cast of Hokuto No Ken.

Both are old school shonen of the 1980's which originally debuted as comedies but gradually become focused on tournament battles. A flaw in both shows are characters constantly dying only to be revived in some ludicrous method. However, both shows are so outrageously manly that you will look over some low points.

Both series begin with comedy arcs which quickly change into a battle series. The heroes Kinnikuman and Tar-chan often flip-flop between comedic and serious personalities but remain entertaining. Kinnikuman focuses on superheroes wrestling against robots, aliens and demons. Jungle King Tar-chan includes martial arts, wrestling, ki attacks and vampires. Lastly, both series have an emphasis on 1980's Shonen Jump tropes such as masculinity and a courageous fighting spirit.

Because you are that old... hehehe. And because of the hilarious nonsense from both.

They share the same kind of goofy, over-the-top sensibilities about fighting and humor. Both have a cast of crazy characters(Kinnikuman moreso than DBZ) and both are stories of unlikely heroes rising to the top. You might want to skip the initial episodes though, as it starts out as a fairly bad gag anime before it shifts gears.
