Recipe: Take 1 part Vash, 2 parts Wolfwood, and 6 parts short unattractive mega-pervert. Place in a desert oven set to 125° for 17-18 years and you get Kanta "Sunabouzu" Mizuno. Serve with large helpings of big bounties, boisterous badasses, and buxom babes and you get 24 episodes of action packed sexually frustrated hilarity known simply as "Desert Punk"

Watching these two series will feel like taking on an adventurous trip. In essence, they both chronicles the stories of a main male protagonist who is known for hunting various beings across their perspective worlds. The one thing they both have a weakness and love for is - women. Throughout their adventure, they meet other characters that influences their lives in various ways. Yet on many said occasions, there are moments when our adventurers find their lives in danger. Both series also takes place in a futuristic setting.

Though stories are very different, both main characters of these comedies are Great Immortal Virgin Superheroes thinking about attractive women

This anime is totally kick ass! Both Spike, and Kanta are really kick ass with their jobs. One is a merc, the other is a bounty hunter? The difference is comedy! If you like action series that just totally kick ass...Watch DP.

Kanta aka the Desert Punk and Yabuki Joe (especially in the beginning) have a lot of similarities. They are both selfish/self-absorbed. They both live in poor conditions but still manage to get by quite well. And they both have a young kid/s depending on them. And finally they are both naturally talented and skilled and fighting/tactics in the respective fields. If you enjoyed one series because of the main character then I'd say you'd probably like the other. However their character development towards the end goes in opposite directions.

Met through television, a music channel xD he resolved to pass the time along with the Afro Samurai, Sunabouzu is great for anyone who loves good old action! His story is very good as well as the characters, in which each brand with your way, which can be corny and even ridiculous depending on what is seen: 3 One of the remarkable things this anime would be taken in earnest comedy, creating a great show of bullets and ass off xD

Humor focused though different types. Post apocalyptic. Same color for practically all characters even if the characters themselves are very different. Except maybe green.

Both take place far in the future where earth is a wasteland of its former glory, both have advanced technology

They both take place in a post apocalyptic desert wasteland.

Both are heist animes while Sunabouzu sometimes does a little more than steal, both have a busty main girl having the main character lusting after them

You like the ribald and vulgar humor in one of the anime? Than maybe the other one is something for you too! The main charaters in both anime are sexual frustrated boys, that are running after some tits and have to endure hardship while doing so. Otherwise they are quite different. Prison School has a school setting while Desert Punk is more on the action side. But if you like this kind of humor both anime will make you laugh for sure.

Kanta and Panty/Stocking share a lot of the same personality traits as in they're both foul mouthed, cruel, irresponsible, and selfish which I think makes their comedy similar. Also, Kanta is about as much a "hero" as Panty/Stocking are "angels". ;)

They are both about for hire mercenaries, that use guns as their main weapons. And meeting different mercenaries and assassins while doing jobs, sometimes going against them.

Over the top post-apocalyptic adventures in the desert, alias Mad Max for otakus. Ken and Kanta are legends of the wasteland - one driven by revenge, the other by various jobs (plus boobs). They are the strongest or most skilled of all, make no mistakes and go straight down their dusty roads. They meet people, they help people, they kill people. Yes, our manly 'heroes' really just want to be with a woman at the end of the day, but their journey is ruined by endless waves of problems and bizarre, unsightly bad dudes, so they always gotta blow things (and heads) up. And they do  read more

They both have the same perverted humor, both animes have big breasted babes, and both are hilarious.

Both series deal with life in an unforgiving Desert. With people who only care about themselves, and where the hero of the story isn't really a hero, but one who is just trying to surivive in an unforgiving enviornment.

Future, wasteland, lack of water, desert, hi-tech, as usual charismatic main character. "Now and Then" is a bit more depressive.

Both have young main characters with younger apprentices, both are placed in postapocalyptic world, both have forbidden technology that has been forgotten over the year, although Desert Punk is exquisite and The third is just good.

Crapsack postapocalyptic worlds, people controlled by rich people in domed cities. Both protagonists are sort of "jacks of all trades" Ancient Mass Destruction Weapons

Similar protagonists. Similar survival/wasteland themes. Similar "ecchi-ness", though "Rance" is an outright, Hentai production. Both are also hilarious Comedies! The jokes are nonstop.

Both series have post apocalyptic setting, but I don't think this counts since apocalyptic Miami looks just like normal Miami. Both series are really funny and have many reference to Hollywood movies and animes. Both series start out as light comedy but the latter episodes end up with serious tone due to the plots become more complex.

Those reserved, uptight Japanese folk need to learn how to insert lots of swearing, vulgarity and sex jokes into their cartoons. But until then, there's always the witty English dub rewriting teams who make it their duty to turn once dull, lifeless exchanges into laugh out loud material. Desert Punk Example: Junko: "...Over time, we've (women) learned to use every accessory we have as weapons." Punk: "Including birth control?" Junko: "Well, I've always found the best 'birth control' to be to simply point at it and laugh, little guy." TWHE Example: *two fisherman sit by a river* Man #1: My rod hasn't moved all day. Man #2: It will now! *naked elf floats down  read more

Fighting in the desert, while still managing to cram in fanservice all over the place.

In both series main hero is greedy and selfish.

Both shows are about bounty hunters and the main character is a skilled bad-ass who ends up in a war between two associations (govt power). They also have a rushed out twist ending and many things left are unexplained.
