Until finishing Ano Natsu, I had thought the OBVIOUS similarities between the two were nothing more than examples of the anime industry's lack of originality. But it turns out they were written by the same person, with Ano Natsu linking into Onegai Teacher at the very end. So, it wasn't theft: it was just the writer being lazy. Glad that's clear, now. Two alien Mary Sues come from space. They have the same basic character designs. One becomes a teacher; one becomes a student. They fall in love with scrawny, four-eyed midgets. There's drama.

Both are about attractive female aliens that invade a males house and go to school. They both have to marry the male, against the male's wishes. The plots are practically the same, but I will not say in which cases because my reasons are spoilers.

Same funny story about a guy who gets visited by a women..same slightly sexual humor as well. The only difference is that in ah my goddess the women are goddesses but in onegai they're aliens.

premise of force marriage, with some very well put together comedy and entertaining plot. They both are also comedy/ supernatural (aliens and mermaids) genre.

Similarities: Both have the same cougar to tadpole kind of relationship. Both cougars have special powers, and the tadpoles is just an ordinary boy. Both have the same fantasy and romance genre. Dissimilarities: One has an extra sci-fi genre while the other has an extra magic genre. The boy in one anime is just an ordinary high-school student with a bad case of narcolepsy, while the boy in another anime is a bratty ruler. The cougar in one anime really does maintain a romantic relationship with her tadpole, while the cougar in another anime acts like a mother figure to her tadpole.

Both stories are in the school setting and involve student/teacher romances with a twist.
report Recommended by SlaughterChichi
Both female leads are aliens who end up falling in love with a boy in earth. Also though Onegai Teacher is a bit more dramatic, both have nice comedy touches into them

The stories are similar - love and marriage between teacher and student. There're also and many ecchi moments in the both animes

Crossover in both appear Mizuho-sensei and other characters

Also sci-fi, comedy, romance, a female alien and the male character look similar aswell.

Both about hot women, and they end up falling in love with a high school boy, turning his life upside down. Although Onegai Teacher can be maybe more emotional than this, it is practically the same in the other aspects. Another close relation is that the girl which the main character falls in love with is also an alien.

They are both about how a certain disease influences the relationship between the two main characters. Also, the two main characters get together quickly in both of them, and there is one other girl who is in love with the protagonist that again, creates difficulties for the relationship of the protagonist. Plus there is the smaller girl character who's the silent type and a bit mysterious. Both the animes also have their healthy dose of drama involved.

These two are similar because in the beginnings, it's suppose to be a fake relationship. Then they get stuck in love triangles from each side and later on they develop feelings for each other <3 <3 . Talk about a love story? C:

They are both about a pink haired girl from another planet coming to earth and meeting a weak male protagonist that has an illness and falling in love with one another. Both have some comedy and eechi elements to them.

Both shows have a very real relationship feel to them. Both lead female characters have a very similar personality, very quiet, cute and at times can get very jealous and angry. Please teacher isn't as long and the story isn't as developed because its only 12 episodes, but it still has a very good story and because of that I think you should give please teacher a shot.

If you're looking for some short comedy and romance, then these two series are the way to go especially when a boy and a girl living under the same roof is one of the themes of both series. Additionally, there are those awkward moments and sexual tension between the main characters that you can cut through with a knife. Great series for fans for those looking for romance (with a little ecchi and mature themes) ;)

These anime feature "weird" female MCs in romance + school settings, so weird you'd fall in love at first sight. Doubts and questions about love and faith in one's lover are even explored critically. Adequately similarly unusual plot devices are also present. One obvious difference is that NnK X is about the relationship between two students while OT is between a student and a teacher. Overall, the ratings both have have quite truth in them and that they're absolutely shows of the same weird caliber.

The same romance between a cougar teacher and a tadpole student, but unlike Nande, Onegai teacher has a more subtle approach and more on the lighter side while Nande is more on the wild comedic side.

the same teacher and young person kind of relationship , except in Onegai Teacher was more like a Cougar and Tadpole relationship, in Nobunaga, it is more like a loli relationship between male teacher and a 14 year old girl.

They are both Teacher Studend romance and they are both very cool to watch. You ill have a lot of fun watching this anime.

Both stories are about a younger male and an older female who fall in love with each other and both stories have a happy ending
report Recommended by TheAnimeVillain
Without giving too much info both stories have a similar concept of a young male interacting with an older woman. As the story progresses, they start to be drawn towards each other. The difference is in "Onegai Teacher" the MC gets married early on in the story, while "Kotonoha no Niwa" is more subtle.

Well to put it simple teacher and student have a relationship, its not exactly the same, but very close if you liked one you should like the other.
report Recommended by kesichjo
both series follow 2 people who due to some circumstances get married and get to know each other after. in tonikaku kawaii there are two people of almost equal age but in Onegai ☆ Teacher there is a student who marries his alien teacher to keep her secret.

These two anime start sillying from beginning to end. Even though being silly, they both bind you with their fluency. A crazy sexy curvy hot female alien comes to a harmless boy's world and events occur. But onegai teacher is more romantic and less funny according to FLCL. I hope one day you think about watching onegai teacher :-)))

Both have multiple growing relationships.

Same atmosphere of drama and romance when watching Mashiroiro then got a nostalgic feeling from Onegai Teacher.
report Recommended by dante_90
Both are ecchis with more storyline than others of the same genre
report Recommended by Dr_Jan_Itor
The plot of Midori no Hibi is at least as wacky as Onegai Teacher's. Highly entertaining series with more to it than just cute and crude humour.
report Recommended by masashikun
Both have a girl that came from a weird place living with a shy regular boy. And both make a very shy couple. Side characters are also very similar and the voice actress for Sensei and Belldandy is the same.
report Recommended by ladyxzeus
Both have to hide their relationship, relationships established fairly early in both series.
report Recommended by MasterTaro
Although the main female lead, Chi, isn't an alien like Mizuho, it still gives you the same feel that Onegai Sensei does and it's a great watch, just like Onegai Sensei!
report Recommended by Sarcastic
Both boys, from both anime, meet a girl that's from outer space. (Or something like that.)
report Recommended by Nightt_
Though I wouldn't say Onegai Teacher is as deep as True Tears, if you liked True Tears, then you should at least take a look at Onegai Teacher.
report Recommended by NakataYuji
Both are about high school students with parts of there lives hidden from there friends.

Same summer theme

both same in the sense of random girl from space appearing and then becoming attracted to the main char :D
report Recommended by JustinBiz
Bolth of the animes is a pretty sad romance story where the main character have problems with his life
report Recommended by tromter
A lot of characters and their relationships are alike. Well, at least in the first half.
report Recommended by Solskin
They are practically the same because both talk about relationships with beings that are not human and a human to see if their fates will be enough to stay together forever.
