Diabolik Lovers

At the behest of her father, Yui Komori goes to live in a secluded mansion, home to the six Sakamaki brothers—Shuu, Reiji, Ayato, Kanato, Laito, and Subaru—a family of vampires. Though at first the siblings are confused as to why the girl has arrived, they soon realize that she is to be their new "sacrificial bride," not to mention their other, more carnal intentions for her. After meeting the brothers, Yui quickly begins to question why her father would have sent her here and why she feels a strange, new pain in her chest. With each brother more sadistic than the last, Yui's life as a captive takes a harrowing turn in her new home. As her days turn into endless nights, and each brother vows to make her his own, Yui falls deeper and deeper into madness and ecstasy.

Eh, tbh I watched this when I was 11-12 years old. Bc nostalgia, I thought it would be a good idea to watch it again

And DAMM there is lot of red flag. The game (in my opinion) is better and it was quite difficult for the anime to decide how to process it. Also, the manga is...interesting?


But please don't watch the anime. The main story is about Yui. Due to her father's request, she had to move to an unknown place, where she soon found out that six smash vampire guys live there and she realizes that she was given an "offering".

That's all I ... wanted to write about the story. In the game, the story was based on our choices and I have to say it made me quite sad that... we got this. Like we could have seen Yui go completely crazy and kill everyone and escape, but no... So the story gets a 10/3.

The characters... I hate Ayato. I don't understand why he's the main ml and every time he appeared I wanted to punch my screen. Apart from Ayato, the other characters are horrible and some (in my opinion) didn't get enough time. Since I'm older I can only feel sorry that Yui went through these terrible things. The characters gets 10/2

The whole anime is amazing with its looks, because it has really nice animation. It's obvious that this is an old game, but when it came out it was already a big deal (and the video game has a pretty good style too), It's obvious that they worked a lot on it and it always looks great, 10/7

All in all it's just 10/3

Mixed Feelings

It's what you expect from a otome anime adaption, it just doesn't really work because of the many routes... Also I know a lot of people had a issue with the plot because everything about it is morally fucked but personally I kinda like the idea, its just I had a big issue with the main character... We had little insight about how she was feeling, every scenario doesn't feel like it's ACTUALLY from the perspective of the MC as the scenes don't portray just how scary and traumatizing it is (Kinda makes it hard to relate and understand the MC), each past event also ... feels like it didn't really happen because in the next scene/episode they just act like nothing happened, and last complaint is it could've been better if we had a stronger, dominant MC to be that voice of reason and to put the male leads in place... I just feel like if they focused less on the romance, more on the emotions this would've worked out much better for the anime, thats all i gotta say! bye!

This anime was bad, to say the least. The anime is basically just a girl running around while a bunch of vampires bite her and bully her. One of them even uses "bitch" as a nickname for the FL. I remember being pretty confused and I mainly finished it because it's easy to binge it all in one afternoon (or night if you are nocturnal like me XD). The only reason this anime isn't one star is it was made mostly to promote the game series which isn't bad (and the vampires are pretty hot lol). Overall, not worth the watch in my opinion. ... I'd say check out the games instead, I've heard good things about them.
