Yoroiden Samurai Troopers

Guided by virtue and bravery, a bishounen squad of five fights for a common goal with their costomized powers and armor suits. Prominent vintage titles in the super sentai genre, the main difference between Samurai Troopers and Saint Seiya is the theme they are based upon: feudal Japan and mecha combinations in one, Greek mythology and constellations in the other.

There is a strong relation between the Claymores and the Ronin Warriors. Each are super-human warriors, and a hierarchy in power. Also, in each show, there is a human that becomes connected to the warriors. Both the Ronin Warriors and the Claymores each have a unique power or ability. 

Both shows have the heroes/heroines wear magical armor. Yep, armor. They also have the power of friendship among the protagonists as well as pretty boys. The main difference Ronin Warriors and Magic Knight Rayearth is armor evolution. 

Both are shounens with armored warriors and powers based on elements, like fire,water,light,etc. 

Both are fighting shounens with armored warriors and super powers. Also, both are inspired on mystical/legendary stories. 

Samurai Troopers is the shounen version of Sailor Moon, as the latter is inspired by the super sentai genre, they go hand-in-hand for their story and characters. Both are must watch old school anime with an identical premise: five teenagers in colorful suits fight against the monsters of an evil empire that wants to conquer the Earth. The youngsters have magical super powers - related to virtues in Samurai Troopers and planets in Sailor Moon - that make them transform respectively in armored samurai and sailor scouts (with similar transformation scenes). Both of the group leaders (Ryo/Usagi) even have a feline pet/helper (White Blaze/Luna). Sailor Moon, being a shoujo, has plenty of romance, drama, comedy and also better character development, while Samurai Troopers is more focused on action. read more
