both have a protagonist with godly appetite..both of them are strong from the beginning and live in a similar fantasy world with special creativity.also Toriko and Onepiece have a crossover as well.  

Toriko captures the same spirit that makes One Piece so awesome. Overpowered battles with Ridiculous attacks, colourful style with nice animation, Over the top personalities. Just pure awesome from start to finish. 

They both eat a lot. The settings are pretty alike, but Toriko is a bit modern than One piece. They both have goals. Epic Fight Scenes  

Both are maked by the same editor. Both are about age.(One piece - Age of pirates | Toriko - Age of gastronomic) Both are with adventure. Both main characters are simple-minded. Both main characters are very strong. Both main charachters are strange. 

If you liked one piece then you definitely like Toriko too only differences is that the Toriko is bishokuya which want to collect all food recipes but in One Piece the crew is looking treasure called One Piece. And Toriko has an own so called group like One Piece has a Pirate Crew. Both of these anime have an Adventure's and humor too. 

Imo if you like One Piece you will most certainly like Toriko just the environment and the feel of the characters are very similar so most people probably won't be disappointed with Toriko 

-They both have some humor, but i Toriko have a lttle more though -Both Toriko and Luffy loves food. -Both are great shounen series with "fight for nakamas" plot, and goals characters have made their mind to accomplish. -One of the biggest differences is that Toriko is about food, and One Piece is about Pirates 

These two shows have pretty noticeable similarities. For one thing, Luffy and Toriko are practically the same. Both have excellent fighting skills, protect their nakama, unending appetites, ect. The other big similarity is that these shows both mainly focus on the adventures the characters take and the places they go. For that reason, both shows feature fun adventures with unique settings. They're both pretty enjoyable so give 'em a try. 

they have both an epic storyline and plot abd the authors like to foreshadow things, the fights and worldbuilding are both great 

Alot like One Piece as they are both about explorers/adventurers 

Both share worlds divided into two... toriko and luffys goals are almost the same, be it comedy or action they both have it. It's a fun experience. 

It's all about adventure! It's not the goal that is important, it is to enjoy the view as you travel there. 

Both are old shounen/adventure/comedy anime that have a very similar touch to it. :) 

- The world in Toriko and One Piece are similar, in Toriko there is the Gourmet world and in One Piece there is the New world. - Both protagonists like to eat alot of food. - Same genres, both shows are action, comedy, fantasy and adventure. - They are both shounen anime. - Toei animated both anime. - Both anime have really good character designs. 

Theyre literally in the same world and there's even a one piece X toroki crossover in the first episode 

if u like/love u'd seen the collaboration of this anime called toriko and one piece and if u watch it I'm sure u'd love every character in anime slightly resembles one piece's characters. It has about 147 eps and all of them are entertaining...  

Anime that follows the usual battle shounen tropes, but with one twist - the plot is all about food and cooking. While Shokugeki no Souma battles are chef duels, Toriko battles are mostly about getting the cooking ingredients. Both feature delicious looking foods and goodgasms. 

How can i not recomment toriko? both of these to series take place in a world of gourmet age, although Toriko is more about gourmet hunting and exploration, than cooking competition like shokugeki no souma is. lets drown in a world of food.  

-Both shows involve food and cooking. -Both shows have fights in Toriko they are fighting with martial arts and in Shokugeki no Souma with treir cooking. 

Both of them about food; however, Shokugeki no Souma is way better and more enjoyable. p.s. Shokugeki no Souma doesn't include action and fighting. 

they both contain youths who wants to be top gourmet chefs acknowledged by the world for their skills and toriko helps fill up the gap with action scenes.

They Both Specialize in Cooking Has battle off between Chefs Both have Good Arcs 

Food Wars and Toriko both involve food and getting hungry really easily, you're basically starving yourself to death. But Toriko is also similar to Hunter x Hunter and JoJo for its outlandish abilities.  

Remember how in the second phase of the final exam arc of Hunter x Hunter we were introduced to gourmet hunters and what they do? Well the reason I recommend Toriko is because its almost like an extension of the Hunter x Hunter world but focusing on gourmet hunters exclusively. If you thought the gourmet hunter idea from HxH was cool you should definitely check out Toriko.  

hunter x hunter + one piece + hokuto no ken + Mister Ajikko = Toriko . the world setting of Toriko overlaps a lot with Hunter x Hunter. Both work place the human world in the center of a much-larger world, where the average power level is vastly stronger than humans. People send out expeditions consisting of the strongest (gourmet) hunters to discover its deep, dark secret.Toriko story is about hunting like in hunter x hunter but toriko focus only hunting for food.

Gorgeous depictions of food, lovingly animated lessons on how to make it and compelling lore on how the monsters exist and interact in their environment all with a dark undertone about what lurks deeper inside. Both series have this with Toriko focusing on more raw, visceral and creative fights while Dungeon Meshi has amazingly entertaining character interactions. 

These two instantly reminded me of each other. Both of these shows are about trying wild recipes made from monsters and they both have strong world building too. I would recommend the other to fans of the show's mood and world.  

The plot is different but the Main Characters (Jojo and Toriko) have similar characteristics and both shows are filled with super buff guys fighting to protect what's important to them. 

Same idea of hunters 

Similarities: -The main protagonist in both series wear orange uniforms and love eating food to become stronger or simply for comedic effect within the story though Toriko is more focused on the gourmet aspect. -Both were animated by the same studio, Toei Animation. -They are both action shounens with a lot of epic battles, adventure, and comedy. -Both series incorporate elements of fantasy such as monstrous beings and other worlds. -In Toriko, the characters gain abilities by eating food items known as “gourmet cells” similar to the “sensu beam” formula in the Dragon Ball franchise. I believe that Toriko clearly resembles with Dragon Ball albeit not the same at all. 

While Toriko is a battle shonen , and Kira Kira is a Maho Shoujo , both shows of cooking , and eating delicious food is a match thanks to both series being made by Toei Animation, some of Kira Kira themes can also be found in Toriko . 

Did you think that cooking and battle shounen can't be combined? Well here you have anime about chef battling with various dangerous weaponized foods and food sources. 

In short, Toriko & Fist of The North Star contain very manly heroes with multiple battles against heartless villains. Toriko hass more variety due to multiple super powers with its food and animal based theme. Fist of The North Star is the more tragic of the two diving into an apocalyptic hell where a man battles against his kin. Toriko contains several references to Fist of The North Star which are: 1. The 4 Heavenly Kings are adopted "siblings" while Hokuto no Ken also has 4 brothers. 2. The characters Toriko, Zebra & Coco are inspired by Kenshiro, Raoh & Toki. 3. Both series were stricken by war and famine. 4. The concept of "Knocking" is similar to Hokuto Shinken as it stops a living being from moving. 5. The characters Acacia & Froze play a messiah role much like Kenshiro and Yuria. 6. Includes a sorrowful fight between brothers (Midora Vs Ichiryu and Raoh Vs Toki). read more
