Both share "hunting down monsters for food" part. However the food in Dungeon Meshi is just a normal food, while in Toriko it is "magical" one which causes human power to evolve.

Gorgeous depictions of food, lovingly animated lessons on how to make it and compelling lore on how the monsters exist and interact in their environment all with a dark undertone about what lurks deeper inside. Both series have this with Toriko focusing on more raw, visceral and creative fights while Dungeon Meshi has amazingly entertaining character interactions.
These two instantly reminded me of each other. Both of these shows are about trying wild recipes made from monsters and they both have strong world building too. I would recommend the other to fans of the show's mood and world.
