First things first. It is really hard to find any anime that is similar to black lagoon. Your best closest bet, is going to be Jormungand. The intense action and language used in Black Lagoon is not something that can be remade again, it simply won't be popular in today's world. Back in the day, content in black lagoon were just more well appreciated. --- Black lagoon has action unlike any other anime. Really. The action in black lagoon is dirty. It's not shounen style actions at all, not even close. It's chaotic and darker. More importantly, fun and exciting! There is no powerups, the main characters have plot armor to the extent of just being kept alive for the show, but they are not invincible. Specially in the psychologically trauma that they have. In that sense, the action of black lagoon is very unique. You will thoroughly enjoy the action and the psychology bits sprinkled in between will give you some form of attachment to the characters like Rock, Revy, Balalaika, the twins, etc. Though not all the characters are just trauma ragdolls. Many are just nasty characters. The thrill and action in black lagoon is a must watch! --- Jormungand is similiar to black lagoon, only in the action. But i still mean it, that the closet resemblance to black lagoon in anime you'll find is in Jormungand. Jormungand has it's own unique aspects. The female lead is koko and is she is, loco. That was a joke, it's an ost in the anime. Well you will enjoy Jormungand too, the male lead is a desensitized young boy from a wartown region who follows koko's loco antics. Koko's entire team grows to like the boy, they raise him like a wild cub. Teaching him to prey on enemies. Just following along the boy's journey with koko is worthwhile to watch besides the packed action.

ZZZzzzz.......Zzzzzzz.....ZZzz.....OH! Sorry! I kinda fell asleep there! Both these titles are just so relaxing! Do you want to relax too? Then you gotta give both these titles a try! --- Flying witch is well about a flying witch! Sounds exciting right?! NO! It's slice of life! It's about a witch. Living a mundane life. I bet it doesn't sound exciting......but i bet it sounds a bit interesting no? There is not a lot of magic here, but there's is a lot of normal mundane activities! --- Amanchu! Don't let the exclamation in the title fool you! It revolves around the female lead exploring her first experiences of scuba diving. Nothing serious! You can put your brains on autopilot and watch this. It also noteworthy to mention how clean the animation is, the use of colors are almost pastel like, it's even soothing to look at.

Intense drama! Relationship triangles! Squares! Circles! You find plenty of exciting drama in both of these titles. At the core of the storyboard of both these titles, the relationships drama is the most important aspect. But drama isn't the only exciting aspect of both. While both have intense drama, they offer their own unique selling points! --- Kids on the Slope has absolutely amazing soundtracks. That's right! One of the best out there. Ah the theme, music, all the jazz. You'll be sucked in the music! Moanin'! Seriously the covers of some actual original songs like Moanin, But not for me, Apollon Blue, Lullaby of Birdland and MY FAVORITE THINGS! SO GOOD! --- Rakugo! Doesn't sell music, it sells the drama. You need to, pay really really good attention to the drama here. There is a lot of taking. Taking is the point of the anime! Rakugo! It literally means a type a verbal entertainment in Japan. Pay close attention and you will, thoruoghly enjoy the drama. It's unlike any other drama anime out there! But a fair warning, if you're not in the mood to pay attention then maybe watch it later.

Nichijou's comedy can be summed up in one word. Random. --- Asobi Asobase's comedy can also be summed up in one word. Random --- But despite both of them having a similar random comedy style, they both have different refreshing approaches to it. --- Nichijou's random is a lot more family friendly and a bit more wholesome. The characters all have some sort of unique trope they specialize in. Mio is the tsukommi to Yukko's boke. While Mai is just the reserved and goofy type. These unique trope extend to pretty much all characters in the show, they you will remember well, the side characters are all unique. --- Asobi Asobase's random, is not family friendly and a bit on the nsfw side. The jokes that is. The main characters are all unique but there's not much to say about the side characters besides them being there for the convience of the asobi group's antics.

It's really similar in genre. But there are somethings that Lovely Complex does better and somethings that Nodame Cantabile does better. Regardless they both also have some similar flaws. Like some really bad two dimensional characters or some gags being too forced. --- One big flaw of Nodame Cantabile is oddly the main female lead. The author uses her for comedy gags all the time, so you just don't really end up taking her character as a mature main lead specially when the main male lead is way more mature. It would have been great to add some depth to her character instead of being used as a comedy gag ragdoll all the time. Frankly, i could only take the female lead a bit seriously only if i just imagined that she is a bit on the autism spectrum. Ah and i have nothing against autistic people, in fact i consider them to be gifted. It's the eccentric behaviour. One really strong aspect of Nodame Cantabile is the concerts, if you have some attention span in your brain then you will get completely sucked into it, you'll get goosebumps. Even if you don't appreciate classical music. The anime does an exemptional job to make you feel like you're part of the audience too. --- On the other hand lovely complex does a fantastic job with the female lead character but the dense trope in the male lead feels forced at times. Otherwise some of the other side characters also have bad two dimensional tropes, to the point of being a bit annoying for viewers. The musical score in the anime is highly underrated, the orchestra hits you hard at the right timing in certain moments. --- Well both are a fun ride to watch if you have a soft spot for shoujo/romance genre. These are NOT seinen titles, so don't expect any serious psycchological/adult themes dumbass. It's all family friendly.
