Hi there! I'm Ashley from the USA!
Anime and manga have been a huge part of my life since middle school (around 2006). I did grow up on shows such as Sailor moon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Sonic X; but I didn't know that was all anime then and didn't know what anime was until my friend got me into the Inuyasha Manga. I used to go to my public library all the time and spend it there reading manga and checking out anime DVD's all the time. They are memories I cherish a lot and it's helped me make the close friends I still have today.
My first Manga I ever bought was +Anima and a manga edition of Tinker Bell from the Scholastic Book fair they had in middle school. I still have that volume of Anima+ today and could never bring myself to let it go.
Watching this season :
Mecha's, Harems, and Fantasy I tend to not really care for.
There were a couple mecha's I did enjoy (Darling and the Franxx and Code Geass) but as for harems, not a huge fan; Love triangles are one thing, it's another thing when all the girls are annoyingly getting in the way of each other (Quintessential Quintuplets on the other hand I really loved and thought differently). Fantasy anime's I feel very picky with because nothing seems to grab my attention enough to stick with and finish.
Least Favorite Genres
Romance, historical, comedy, and horror. I can go from wholesome lovey dovey romance and histarical comedies to action, angsty serious historical or horror series.
Also love some Yaoi, but I am also picky with my yaoi art style.
