And there's your Oshi no Ko profile theme. And you're scoring Fate Babylonia (which I also rate very highly) a 10. It seems I made the right decision in accepting your request :)

I've been rewatching Alicization, and I honestly think it's better than the current high-flyers like Frieren and Apothecary Diaries. Alicization is so well-crafted and put together story-wise, and the way each scene is perfectly synchronized with an epic and emotional Yuki Kajiura OST, it's almost otherworldly magical. And the main characters are all charismatic or charming/lovable.

The first double length episode was very beautiful and picturesque in its setting and it evoked a nostalgic feeling in me which hearkened back to carefree childhood picnics sat on the grass, with flowers and trees all around. Then there was the drama and tragedy with what happened to young Alice (being taken away for an infraction of the rules of The Taboo Index), which darkened the mood and showed the sinister side of the Underworld (virtual reality world) the AI's and Kirito were inhabiting.

I liked the story of bottom-up created artificial intelligence's that are constantly learning and evolving, and the stuff about fluctlights (fluctuating lights in brain cells) and peoples souls - and that someones soul could be copied onto a lightcube (like an external hard-drive). I remember the episode where Cardinal (an embodiment of the Cardinal system program) gives a lengthy account to Kirito of the the situation and history between herself and Quinella, and it was fascinating and quite complex.

And that links to Quinella herself, which I think was one of the best SAO villains ever (and there have been more than a few despicable/deplorable ones). I thought it was amazing that an AI could progress so much to become self-conscious, vain, egotistical, and finally megalomaniac like that. And that she'd have a strong desire to prolong her life indefinitely.

The ending/conclusion (of the first part) with Eugeo sacrificing himself was quite affecting. The flashback of his memories and time with Kirito was very well done. It really had some emotional impact and poignancy to it. Eugeo seemed to come alive and exist as an independently thinking (and feeling) human-like personality in his own right, and was the only male platonic friend Kirito ever seriously got close to - sorry Klein! They were almost like brothers by the end.

And overall, the visuals were a significant step up from Seasons 1 and 2 - almost (or perhaps even equal to) peak Ufotable level. They did a great job with the character designs and the lush verdant backgrounds, and the action scenes were very intense, dynamic, and captivating. I think the way they drew Kirito's flower garden, and the rose garden at the foot of the Central Cathedral (at night), was even more resplendent and beautiful than a real-life flower garden filmed under the moonlight. Hey, I have a sensitive side. Lol.

Sorry, for going off on a bit of a rant. I just wanted to share some of my enthusiasm!
