As I grew older, I've found enjoyment and passion in critiquing and analyzing anime and general media, and has become one of (if not) my favorite hobby. I'm a big nerd, and I'm very harsh on my ratings, so take everything with a grain of salt!

Rating system:

10 - 9 are "Peak", an example of how to execute an amazing story in the medium of anime or manga. 10's are usually reserved for the absolute best of the best, near completely void of flaws.

8 is "Great". It's amazing, but falls short on a few aspects, or despite being very near void of flaws it's good aspects aren't executed to the same level as a "Peak" story.

7 - 6 are "Good", and have merit as a story. "Good" media has standout qualities such as good comedy or story telling, but fall short on many aspects that would otherwise rate it higher.

5 - 3 are "Mid", and are usually noticeably bad or abhorrent. If a show has an awful story and soundtrack but the animation so happens to be incredible, then it's "Mid".

2 - 1 are "Awful" and I only finish to justify my low rating. They usually have absolutely no quality or merit.

Remember, with all rules come exceptions. Maybe a show that I've rated a 3 also has one of the best tracks in anime, or a show that I've rated a 9 has a scene with awful animation and choreography. If you have a question about my ratings, ask me!

For anyone interested I believe Attack on Titan to be the uncontested "best" piece of fiction, and I'd be glad to talk to anyone about it or my opinions on it.
