Oh, Netflix. I have a bad feeling about this. I just don't know if you're directly familiar with the franchise or not, but there's long been a consensus in the fandom that the way the game dives into story and lore makes the anime pointless and will potentially destroy the experience for future fans.

Zenki is a good go to for shounen. Cat Shit One is entertaining for a 20 minute pilot film. There is Area 88 and Dallos, both good 1980s OVAs. There are a lot of good series from China these days too. Wu Shan Wu Xing, Cike Wu Liuqi, Hei Men, San Ti, Zhongguo Qi Tan, Ling Long: Incarnation and Da Li Si Rizhi are all series that I can recommend.

As a note, lesser known series tend to have lower scores, consider a 6 as a 7 and a 5 as a 6, when compared to mainstream series.
