Dorohedoro has been on my plan to watch for a while I think, I wanted to read the manga some time ago. Have a nice evening!
-First of, when I think of "action", I think of "Kill la Kill" - You'll probably have heard of it already, but it's pretty much just non-stop action in a fast-paced story, with lots of comedy, great Trigger Art Style and character designs and a phenomenal soundtrack! It's one of my favorites because of how ridiculous it is, if you enjoy action, comedy and lots of insanity and don't mind ecchi (that fits into Kill la Kill's plot really well though), then definetly try this one out.
-Second, coming from Kill la Kill, I noticed you hadn't seen Promare yet. It's the latest production from Trigger, and their first movie at that. Since you've seen Gurren Lagann, you may enjoy this, since it builds up on pretty much every major theme from that series as well as Trigger's identity over the past years! In short, it's 1h50mins filled with mech fights, explosions, battles, crazy characters, some comedy, etc... It's a little similar to Kill la Kill in Style, as well as having another superb soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano (same as in KLK). The story is pretty ridiculous too, but that's what makes it great as well.
-Lastly, this one isn't as "action-packed", but since it's got an action tag and you haven't seen it yet, you may want to give Houseki no Kuni a try. It has lots of mellow moments, but when action scenes do happen, the animation style of Studio Orange does a really great work with their 3D CG. It's got some great characters, a fitting soundtrack, great visuals, and a thought-provoking story (along the lines of "growing past your current self").
I hope you enjoy at least one of these picks, personally I think they're great productions! (By the way, it's nice to see another Nagatoro, Horimiya and Komi-san fan!) Oh and since you're missing a couple of entries of the Monogatari series, I recommend you check out the parts you're missing, especially the Kizumonogatari movie Trilogy and Owarimonogatari (or rather, Owarimonogatari 2nd Season to be more specific), those were really great! Let me know what you think, have a nice day/evening! :P
