And here's the question, where's proof that Yuki put effort into building the relationship. The deaf characteristic was just the perfect excuse so the character didn't really have to do much to make the romance progress, and the idea that she's just present and only prompts questions from previous encounters without kind of having to do anything defeats the purpose of a main character. I get there are people in real life that actually gets this kind of perfect pampered treatment, but if I can't even see Yuki somewhat repay debts or actually reach out other than just listening, it portrays Yuki a lot more like a princess being imprisoned from sheer loneliness rather than a character who should act more accordingly after subtle perspective changes.

My point is that Yuki only reacts and still moves on as the same character as before while as others gain monumental character development that which in my case actually feels impactful and those are moments which do not have Yuki directly present in the conflict.

and that's fine if you think that way. I'm happy to indulge in your thoughts about why you think so because I respect people who come and be honest without resorting to insults immediately. I'm assuming you already read my review, but my main issue with A Sign of Affection was Yuki's indecisive personality. Even in most romance shows, the main character should put effort into getting what they strive for or go through conflicts to get what they want. From my perspective, it seems that only the male MC tried to approach her and put a lot more effort into creating a romantic relationship whereas Yuki kind of does nothing in return and a lot of friends are surrounding her just make decisions that she should proactively do so without any help. Now I get if these characters are playing wingmen or wingwomen, there's nothing wrong with that and indeed I think it's a plus for the show. But the issue I had with it was that for the majority of the show, Yuki had everything served to her without kind of trying anything to create that circumstance herself.
