I do not even get how anybody else thought something else is more similar than these two. A lot of the basic character art and setting art are extremely similar, and the world concept seems pretty clearly inspired by Battle Angel.

...then you might like Utawarerumono add

The particular manner in which both strive for elegance struck me as very similar for some reason. The sense of mysticism (like with animals) is a bit similar as well.

If you liked Shin Angyo Onshi add

...then you might like Kurokami add

The sort of (to the characters) impossible to tell if they are truly good or bad organizations in Black God give a very similar feel here for a while, and the greater and greater emergence of magic makes this feeling even more similar.

If you liked Hikaru no Go add

...then you might like The Ravages of Time add

Both are laden with intricate strategies of some sort of combat (chess versus actual war) throughout the entirety of the manga.
