Yes, it would! I seriously gotta' renew my passport this month. I've been putting it off lol.. Wow that's brave, haha! It is really smart in a way to do that, though, so u get over the hump of deciding to go in the first place. As fun as it would be it is intimidating too. Yes, that's precisely why I thought fall would be best. It just turns out fall would be better for me if I were to go this year too. I definitely wouldn't want to do summer because I am aware of how hot is gets and how loud the cicicadas are. And winter probably not, but i'm not opposed to it simply because I live where it's really hot. Experiencing the cold would be kinda nice for once. Just not winter in Hokkaido lmao. Maybe summer is doable in Hokkaido. Sure, will do. If I manage to find a good one I'll recommend it. I might honestly try two if possible. I plan on going for like 2 weeks ish.

Haha, stable yes. Or at least it was. A co-worker got let go because they were basically a no show multiple times. So this week and next week I'm working 6 day work weeks as are my co-workers to deal with the shortage. Fun Wow, ten years. Yeah, I'd recommend finding something while you're still working. It's doable but does require a lot of energy and time to do, but if you're not happy with ur current job, you owe it to yourself to seek something that may work out better for ya.

Oh my mistake! Spoke too soon. It's really nice that you both have planned it out. Very mature and communicative. Oooh, Italy. Sounds wonderful. That's another great country worth visiting.

Yeah!! I've seen a lot of variety from youtube videos. It always looks so good and people always talk so highly about it. I def can't wait to eat a ton. Definitely the street food for me. It's got a whole different vibe.

Absolutely true. I too got burnt out on anime a long time ago. There's just too much to keep up with and I simply prioritize other things I find more important. I will say it does seem like nowadays there's more anime originals so that's kinda' cool cuz it is complete most of the time. Whether it's good or bad may be a completely different story, though, haha. I have been watching anime again, but I can only do it if I watch it along side a friend. Otherwise, it's not really as fun anymore to do alone. Oh yes, a bunch of my guildmates in an MMO I play talk to the high heavens about how good Apothecary Diaries is. I'm definitely heeding their advice and have it as a priority should I have someone to watch it with. I'm watching Frieren with one friend, re-watching my favorite anime Hidamari Sketch with another friend, then watching Princess Precure with a separate friend and Your Lie In April with a completely different friend, 4 friends in total haha. With that I've been watching more episodes these past few weeks than I have in YEARS. I just really like being social with friends these days.

It was rough, but we made it work for many years. I don't regret it even with how horribly it ended, but people and things change. The bright side is I learned more about myself and grew as a person. I wouldn't wish a broken heart or betrayal on my worst enemies tho frfr lol. And yeah, I looked on the bright side. I had to, to make it through. Doing much better these days. Thank you ^^

Yes, it's crazy how things go. It's important to be very grateful for what one has or the opportunities one has been given. Fortunate indeed. Very happy for you. :)

A trip to Japan is really the biggest thing I have planned all year, tbh. At least... I should start planning it soon. I want to go in fall (northern hemisphere :P). I really want to go to an outdoor onsen. Like really badly. It's my number one to do list thing when I visit.

Yeah, i've been a co-lead for pretty much 3 years now. Yes, it is a lot, haha, but that's the good thing. I'll never be short on hours. I'm hoping you can get the 40 you need! Job searching sucks more and more every year I feel just from how it appears. I haven't tried, but I will seek higher employment once I get my degree.

Thanks! I hope I can make it a reality. Ooh a wedding anniversary sounds lovely! Omg you're married now! I remember back when we spoke you had a fiance. It's official now! How time flies. Really happy for you both and hope you too are able to go to celebrate your anniversary. :)

I'd be willing to go to mountainous areas. Just not in the winter lol. Uh, food. Mainly, i want to try out so many different types of food. Check out shops and stores. I might see what tours have to offer in certain cities for the trip. ^^

Yeah, same, i just don't really have the drive or time for anime either unless I'm accompanied by someone. Glad you like it, tho, I am becoming a big fan of it. It's really nice.

Thank you! Looking forward to this year. Onward to bigger and better things. Glad to hear you've been well. I've been keeping busy too!

I've been working as an assistant manager at a financial branch location for the past 5 years.
Finally got the courage to go back to school to finish up my bachelor's degree in business management. Giving it my all.
The fact that classes are online now really helps considering I'm still working full time 40-50 hrs a week.
I don't even have to drive to campus and I can eat during class, lmao.

I also hope to travel to Japan this fall. I so desperately want to go to an onsen. An outdoor one if possible with a view of Mt. Fuji. Thats my #1 bucket list thing to do while I'm there.

I've been watching Sousou no Frieren lately with a friend. Actually loving the series. I haven't watched or finished an anime in 2 years, lol. Feels like I can only do it now if I'm watching along with somebody else these days.

Oh, it's been awhile, haha! I hope you had a fantastic Christmas and happy new year to ya!

You been doing well? ^^

Merry Christmas! God Jul in my language.
Hope you're doing good! :)

Your favourites list is really interesting, I've never really seen anything quite like it. I need to pick up Princess Tutu again, can't remember why I stalled it. Kobato looks nice too.
"Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch" kind of makes me not want to watch it just hearing the name.. could you tell me what you like about it?
Toarujisuru Jun 2, 2022 1:11 AM
A late reply from me as well, haha. My apologies. Welcome back from holiday! I hope it went well. :)

I don't know the answer to that. I have yet to try reading the manga and have only finished season 1. I see that by now you've already made some good progress with Assassination Classroom. I can only hope that this is one series in which they were able to do that and fully animate the story. I don't know when I'll jump into season 2, but my bet is that you'll finish it before me. :P Ya know, I remember at a time I would start watching anime seasonally, but it really wasn't for me. I like to binge watch and it kind of killed my drive for anime even before I started working full time. I'm much better at watching 1 series and sticking with it until I complete it and then moving onto another season or a different series. Slowly, but surely at least. I have never heard of that movie up until you mentioned it. Usually I can say I've seen screenshots or heard of it through media but this one completely went under my radar. As beautiful as some series are, without substance it just feels a bit meaningless. I'll probably pass on it.

Barnes and Nobles is huge here. There may not be a lot of locations, but each location has quite a big selection of manga, books, misc stuff like board games, card games, etc.

Wow, you go to bed way earlier than me. I'm definitely a night owl. It's 3am as I'm writing this, haha. Old habits die hard.

Can you believe it? I've still yet to drop by my local library to check. orz I should make more of an effort.

For me, physical manga is great for long running series of manga while digital is more comfy to read a few chapters at a time for more light hearted genres like comedy or romance. If I'm reading a mystery, thriller, or action type manga I'd definitely prefer a physical copy.

Otomen is very good. I would agree with the rating. It happens, lol. As much as we don't see it clearly, we are constantly changing in many different ways overtime. God only knows I would do the same thing if I re-read something I may have overrated. At the time, it probably did really feel like a 10 to you. :)

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention. I also started this anime called Asobi Asobase. I didn't really know what to expect as I went in blind, but am pleasantly pleased. It has its moments where it can be pretty funny. And I'm in love with the ending theme.

And there's this really cute and funny adventure series I've been watching too called Mahoujin Guruguru (2017). I think 2 series at a time is my limit. But isn't this amazing? I'm making more progress in anime than I have in years. I'm so happy, LOL.

glad your good! so am i ^^ ya i remember talking about anime manga and the band an cafe alot XD
xCandyKiss3sx Apr 15, 2022 7:49 AM
Heya! I do remember you^^ I have been good all grown up now XD how you been?
Toarujisuru Apr 12, 2022 10:15 PM
No worries.

I'm nearly done with season 1 of Assassination Classroom so I might watch a different series before starting season 2. It might be Bisque Doll. We'll see. I recently was able to finish the Jujutsu Kaisen anime too. I think this is the most anime I've finished in years, haha. Oh shoot. I just looked it up, yeah I can see it at some movie theaters near me. I'm so not used to seeing anime movies appear on cinema. It really has become much more mainstream. I was hanging out with a friend about 2-3 saturdays ago and when we visited Barnes and Nobles to check out the manga section it had grown almost x3 the size it used to be when we browsed it a decade ago. Crazy, it made me feel old.

Right? Season 1 was just the best imo cuz it focused solely on Retsuko and her relationship with her job. It felt more inner while the other seasons beyond s2 felt more outter. Do you get what i mean? Like she's always the focus, but she got less focus after S2, imo. Yeah, I still enjoyed em too. Can't complain there. Aha, if you do good luck.

My body is accustomed to 6 hours of sleep. 7 would definitely be healthier. Sometimes even when I try to sleep longer my body auto wakes up once I hit 6 hours. It kinda sucks lol. You definitely have a better sleep schedule than me. I'm typing this at 1:11am and I gotta be up in 6 hours lol. priorities

I'm jealous. I can't remember if I ever checked to see if my library had a similar request system. You're right - who knows? Maybe after all this time maybe their selection grew as well. That's a big reason why I don't always buy manga anymore. Some series aren't popular enough to even get full prints for more volumes and it just suddenly doesnt get any more English volumes translated. Meanwhile, reading it from translators online who do it for free runs less risk that way. At least officially. I've seen some manga translator groups just die out and suddenly the series becomes a desert unless another group picks it up.

I'm glad your much happier in this department. ^^ It's good you have such a supportive partner. I wish you both well. ^^
Toarujisuru Mar 16, 2022 11:30 AM
Yeah, I find the more time passes the easier it's getting. Hasn't even been half a year yet, though. It's tough. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts! ^^

I'll definitely get around to it. It looks really nice. Oh? I didn't know Jujutsu Kaisen was on hiatus. That sucks, lol. It was pretty good, but didn't feel like anything masterpiece worthy to me personally. Regardless, I still enjoy it. Apparently there's a movie coming too. As for Aggretsuko, the new season is okay, imo. I think the best seasons were 1 and 3 personally. Those focused more on Retsuko's visions, dreams, fulfillment, etc over the other seasons with sub plots mixed in. Season 4 might annoy you a bit as it did me. If you watch it, you'll see what I mean. Oh yeah, Elden Ring is from a big popular gaming company that is known for its difficulty. The sales for Elden Ring went through the roof and for good reason. It's an entertaining game to both watch and play. Very challenging, but also very rewarding. Has he ever given you the controller to play it for a bit? :P

I still stay up late from time to time as is my habit. I'm a night owl at heart, but making sure I get at least 7 hours of sleep these days. How much sleep do u often need to feel rested?

Gotta' agree with ya there. Manga feels easier to consume and digest. It's nice that you have a library that has such a wide variety and that different series come in. My nearest library doesn't really have a lot of variety. Its been years since I went but it was mostly 90% shounen lol. Yeah, you'll often find most manga series last a really long time and aren't completed. Sometimes the authors have health issues and go on hiatus. Other times they run it into the ground by trying to extend it past its lifespan. Anime has an ending, but it kind of has the same feeling. it usually feels very empty when u hit the most recent chapter and can't continue or get an ending in an anime that doesn't really quite feel satisfying or complete.

Ooh, a change of departments. What department are u in now? I'm glad your in a more tolerable work space! Oh yeah definitely, I sometimes wish I could be part time, but the grind never stops. Nice! I hope you have a wonderful holiday. You going to go on a trip? If so, have a safe one.
Toarujisuru Mar 7, 2022 2:08 AM
Oh hey! Long time no see. I'm sorry I haven't replied to your last message. Last year was really hard on me. Caught covid and it was the end of my 8 year relationship with my then gf, now ex girlfriend. Possibly one of the worst years of my life if I'm to be honest, but I'm already doing better. Thank you for reaching out to me. It made me happy.

Uh, yeah, actually. The manga was recommended to me by a friend. I actually read a few chapters, but havent logged anything on it. I might as well watch the anime. It looks beautifully animated. It is pretty cool from what i read thus far. And Mari is extremely cute. I'm a sucker for gals in anime/manga.

Only thing I've watched recently is Jujutsu Kaisen. I'm almost done with s1 and i'm almost done with Aggretsuko S4. Other than that, mostly just playing mmos these days. I've gotten into Lost Arc lately. Nothing I can really recommend unfortunately.

I can't say I'm sleeping better these days, but my schedule is more regular. I'm not staying up as late as I used to. I'm definitely making more of an effort to try to get more sleep.

No way. You've definitely read more. Just look at how many days of manga you have read compared to mine, haha. I just have a lot I saved to my plan to read list cuz they all seemed so interesting years ago when I had more free time. I just never got around to 'em, found some that were too difficult to read for free online, or some unfinished.

How have you been? Happy new year as well. ^^

I've been meaning to get back to you sooner, but things have been hectic. You know it. From not having a working bathroom - shower and all - for a week to the store I work at going down to just 4 people making my workload increase.

Sounds like a good christmas. I've yet to spend a christmas with my gfs family. I think I'd like to sometime. I'm glad it all worked out. That's what count even if it was cutting it close. I can't even remember how my new years went. I think I went to sleep and woke up for work the following day lol.

Very glad to be rid of the old president, but the problems he created still linger and are far from being washed out. It's sad. I'd rather not get into it, but I feel more reassured now.

Did you manage to find anything new since u last wrote? Hopefully. Yes, a day makes a huge difference. Sunday are me and my gfs days to hang out again nearly every week. She just got her drivers license so im hoping when she gets vaccinated in the months ahead that we can begin to move in together.

Sleep has always been my weakness. I avoid it and my lifestyle doesn't suit it, lol. Even when i try to get good sleep my family wakes me up. I just gotta' move out. Seriously. Soon. I think the manga would probably feel faster. I like the main premise of the series, but it sometimes focuses on other characters that aren't so interesting. :/

Thanks. I think by now I've changed my profile picture like 2-3 times lol.
Toarujisuru Jan 7, 2021 8:29 PM
No worries. Thank you! Happy holidays and happy new year to you as well! Hope yours went well.

Nice, it's always nice when the feedback is so overwhelmingly positive and fun. I think a new normal is the way to word it best, yes. Tbh, with what happened just a few days ago. I think it's time to abandon this country, lmao. smh

Damn, that really sucks. Hopefully you'll get days off together soon. I wish me and my gf could just make the effort to move in, but right now it's hard to leave the nest cuz our families are struggling in their own ways with their own problems and we are helping out a lot.

I haven't been up to much recently. I'm mostly into vtubers and video games now. That and work take up a lot of my time. I've made a promise to myself to get better and more sleep this year so I hope I can continue it through out the rest of my years. I've neglected the importance of sleep for far too long. Been reading manga here and there every once in awhile. I did start assassination classroom last month. I'm hoping I can finish season one by the end of this month or before it. I'm really enjoying it.

Still haven't touched Great Pretenders, but I'd like to make the effort to watch at least 1 anime a month. Or as close to that goal as possible. I'm hoping I can make that one of the ones I watch this year.

Don't worry, take your time. I wouldn't want you to feel pressured into a reply. Do it when you've got free time and feel like it. I ain't going anywhere lol. :)
