Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon 2nd Season

Finally, the long awaited Season 2 of My Happy Marriage is returned and yeah , it starts with a beautiful episode ... and yeah , this is probably one of the best Romance anime [ with a little bit twist of historicity and drama ] we got in Winter 2025 season ...

Story : 7.5/10 : The story continue from where the season 1 left ... Now this season starts with Miyo learns about the Kudo family [Inc. Kiyoka 's father and mother ]... This season will be having more drama , more mysteries involving and revolving around Miyo's and Kiyoka's family[ Usuba's and Kudo's respectively ... ..]Not only we will be getting more sweet moments between Miyo and Kiyoka [ we already got a very big scene in Ep 3 ]...but this season will contain even more action and drama .... We will witness how Miyo and Kiyoka will be tackling the challenges and mysteries they have to face in the future and we will be getting a lot of info about Miyo's Supernatural Ability[ DREAMSIGHT] too..

Characters : 6.5/10 :Now ,if we talk about Miyo ,in this season, she seems to be a bit more matured , although she is still very kind and she is still very under confident and a little bit emotional , meanwhile Kiyoka is now become even more loving and Protective Husbando for her .. Now , if we talk about Other characters, we got to know about Kiyoka's mom and Dad and we got a bit more info about Usubi's family ...

Animations : 9/10: Just like Season 1 , the animations of Season 2 is just amazing , how they are beautifully animating the sweet moments between Kiyoka and Miyo, and they are animating the fights scenes very well ....

Engagement : 7/10 : Honestly , Im excited for this season ngl and so far, they have dropped amazing episodes with little bit more drama and more action that will make sure you dont get bored ..

Other things : 8/10 : Other things like Production quality, the Background music , Voice overs and Directions are pretty good ....

Overall: 7.6 or round off 8 /10 for me .. This season honestly im feeling is better than season 1 and i am just hoping that we will getting more sweet yet more action scenes form this season ...

This season is definitely lacking compared to the first. At this point, the title is misleading. There is neither happiness nor marriage in this season either. :|
And it's even more grim than before with the constant danger and scheming.

Before anything else, this is like the SLOWEST BURN in terms of *everything*.

We're halfway through the season, and Miyo is STILL yet to get a good character development. She is still the typical "good anime girl" who stutters and whines and accepts all the humiliation from everyone, and to be very honest, the places where she "stood up for herself" was really weak to be considered as ... a stand up or progress. It's almost like everyone is trying to keep Miyo happy for some odd reason, especially when they constantly praise her for those literal no effort retorts of her.

I am so sick of *almost every new side character* taking turns in bullying her, only to come to realization that she is the Buddha reincarnation (jk) and she is actually such a nice girl and they suck as a person so they are oh so sorry for being a d*ck prior.

When will she ever grow up as a character? It's great that she doesn't change overnight but c'mon, 2nd season is about to end. :|

Their romance is lovely but it progresses in SUCH a slow manner that they are still yet to learn the first thing about each other. On the 7th ep, Kiyoka asked what she thinks of him and I expected her to finally have *something* to say and confess her feelings but, nope. She still stuttered, made whiny noises and let him go.
They feel so disconnected at times that they feel like two strangers. And it's not good, because -again- this is the 2nd season, you would expect them to be much closer now.

Most of us watch this anime for its romance aspect, and given the whole aesthetic of the anime, that's what you expect. (?)
When there is fluff, it's sweet, but we're literally in 2nd season and they are nowhere near getting married or close enough to each other or had a serious romantic scene other than the two kisses.

I started watching this anime thinking we'll concentrate on their love (given the name, premise, and visuals), and there will be historical drama alongside, only for it to turn out exactly the opposite, romance feels optional at this point lol.

On the bright side, visuals are so lovely, everything looks so pretty and animations are good enough. It's already not a life-changing anime but I believe they could have done better this season. I sometimes genuinely speed up the military talks, because it gets really boring. I am not giving many details to not spoil but all the side characters we met were also pretty dull.

Will update this review, when the anime ends.

As a big fan of season 1, it pains me to see where the story is headed.

The only good point of this season is when the main characters visits their parents home. Its only downhill from there
From a wish-fullfilment karma-p*rn about a servant girl who found love and climbed the social hierarchy, the story is now exclusively about the fate of the world, and the once bottom feeder girl is now an unique ability user that is key to global events.
The show did a complete 180, from romance to a battle shounen, but it doesn't understand what makes a battle shounen good.
A fight is a ... clash of 2 ideals, a conversation between the fighters. In this show, its just a bland clash of powers.

I'm disappointed at the direction the story took, and how bad it's executed.
