The story is intricate but it’s not hard to follow (I think it’s a manga to read at least two times to understand how insane the work behind it actually is)(read dai dark too); literally every character (no matter how insignificant it might seem!) is essential to the plot and every action is connected in some way (think about Tanba and then Kirion).
I loved the characters and the fact that it’s not good guys vs bad guys but it has a more “realistic view” of society and the oppressor/oppressed system (which is represented both with humans/magic users and with the cross-eyes).
(Needless to say that the female characters have great designs and writing)
I also appreciated the world building (that has gotten even better in Dai Dark imho) and overall the visuals in this manga
