I also am quite critical of CGI, and it was troubling to think Chainsaw Man would lean on it cause often it means a studio will not do well, but MAPPA has a lot of experience so i think it came out good looking from what i've seen.

Yeah gundam can be a lot to get into, but if you stick to the main UC timeline there is less to watch than you would think. The first 3 mobile suit gundam movies on netflix are the best way to get into it, and then after comes Zeta Gundam with 50 episodes. After that is ZZ with another 50 and a few movies and things but really the core is the Original Gundam and Zeta Gundam. Seed, Wing, Witch From Merucry is all alternative timeline stuff, i haven't even gotten into that.

That's good to hear, i will definitely be watching it sooner, rather than later, after I read Firepunch, and then Read the manga first. I saw all the hype, but also the hate, so I felt there would be a solid 8-9 from it, so it's good to see someone like yourself with similar taste appreciating it.

I don't mind some modern CGI as much as the older CGI, and from what i can tell the CGI usage is closer to a Gundam Origin with a high level of polish.

You've got incredible taste, very similar to mine. Naruto, Death Note, JoJo, Vagabond/Inoue all my favorites. And ofc GitS and Monster is a masterpiece to me. I say this because i think we have similar taste and I trust your opinion. Chainsaw man is really a 10??? I haven't seen it yet, no clue if its good or bad but im surprised its a 10. I read Fujimotos one shot Look Back and plant o read firepunch before chainsaw man, but im going to prioritize it if its really that good.
