Not an Isekai story, surprising after reading that title. (I need to mention that there's been no new volume for a long time now) And this story lacks a "shoujo" tag, but it is following the mainstream style of shoujo stories, just know this before you start reading.

Story: In the beginning this was an amazing novel series. A princess ran away from home to become a knight. Then the typical "shoujo" plot-twist came and made it obvious it will be much drama later on. In a time when most light novels are isekai/reincarnation/transmigration stories with OP protagonists, this is a breath of fresh air.

Story: It's a lighthearted comedy of a girl disguising herself as a boy and becoming a knight. While there are the typical schemes and plot events which can only happen in fiction, it is not weighed down by romantic drivel and cringy angst plots. There is plenty of dramatic irony and funny hijinks.

Characters: The main character, Fie, has a refreshingly optimistic outlook. Actually, the characters in general are extremely likable. There is no specific ML at the moment; though if I had to guess, ...
