Both has historical weaponry , warfare and political themes. Also , unlike someone who also recommended these 2 mangas, no , they are not from freaking WW2 but WW1 and before it. Such ignorance about historical warfare is the reason why I'm writing this recommendation right now. Also , they are not "Elite Commanders". Tanya is a Second Lieutenant and Sophia is a freaking sniper (I have not caught up with latest chapters yet so excuse me if i'm wrong). Plus, what is enforcement ? By definition it's the process of ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, rules, standards, or social norms. What does it have to do with the army and warfare in general ??????????  read more 

Similar vibes and setting. Both involve "magic". FMA is more focused on the "magic", and "Youjo Senki" is more like a historical documentary. Both are worth reading. 

Both of these manga deliver some form of political and social commentary and take place in a similar historical setting. Both feature a lead character who at first glance may appear evil, but in fact is trying to protect things which are important to them. And also both are written by Carlo Zen. 

Both are loli, Both are gender bender, In Youjo Senki mc reborn in new world. In youjo senki mc Became war hero.  

It's not very similar storywise, but it's drawn by the same artist, and it's just as brutal if not more than youjo senki, if you want to see another manga with the brutal MC and the same art that youjo senki has, it is a good recommendation 

Both stories take place in a "not exactly Earth but very similar" setting, and roughly the same time period (1800s-1900s). Both MCs are talented military officers who employ clever military strategies to win difficult battles. Both stories have a heavy focus on the politics of their nations, while also focusing on how those changes affect the groups of people we the reader follow. 

Petite girl with a temper leads militaristic group. Both are set in alternative reality but take inspiration from our world wars.  

Reincarnation to another world with magic, where the MC gets overpowered using knowledge from earth. Sound familiar? It's apparently a good plot device nonetheless.  

Ruthless military tactics, inspiration by history but not set in our timeline and all of this centered around a young girl.
