In both series magic girls from other worlds arrive at Earth to compete (collecting stones and hearts of boys respectively) in order to become the queen.

Both stories focuses on 2 girls that are polar opposites becoming friends as well as their day to day adventures and nice art as well too.

I would have to say that these two manga are similar in the basic storyline ways. They both have the 2 girl friends that are out pursuing love or is falling in/in love. Both manga consists of the 2 girls looking for their love life, and usually one of them succeeds, but the other one has a bit of a hard time. However, in Ultra Maniac, one of the girls is a magician of some sort and it is more... lighter? in some ways? Urukyuu (Ultra Cute) may be more realistic and more deeper/sadder than Ultra Maniac. But I believe that both mangas are  read more

Ultra Maniac and Fairy Idol Kanon are two magical girl series that feature a friendship between a human girl and a girl from a fantasy world. Ultra Maniac focuses more on romance for its plot while Fairy Idol Kanon focuses more on music and the industry, but both have the fantasy character mess up on magic (more prevalent on the former though), some similar levels of funny scenes and friendship, and are just fun to read for shojo fans of all ages.

Toki Meka and Ultra Maniac are two shojo stories about a girl who meets a strangely energetic girl with blonde hair and unusual abilities. The energetic girl really wants to help the main character and be her friend, but her unusual abilities cause more trouble than assistance. Both series also have really cute art styles that fit very well with the shojo genre.

Stitch! and Ultra Maniac are two comedy manga enjoyable for audiences of all ages to enjoy, being about a human girl meeting someone else who is not human and is practically from a completely different world. The two quickly become friends, but hijinks also immediately ensue from their very first interaction, with the non-human character often causing trouble for their new human friend.

No Match for Aoi-kun and Ultra Maniac are two magical girl manga that are fairly modern takes on the genre. The main character was an average person before they met a girl who entrusts them with their secret after a series of events and soon gets caught up in their magical antics. Both can be quite wholesome reads about friendships.

Salomelic and Ultra Maniac are two light-hearted romance stories about two girls meeting each other and becoming friends, with one of the girls actually being a witch that can use magic. Though Salomelic's romance is shojo-ai as opposed to Ultra Maniac, both focus on the friendship between the main leads for most of the story.

The Witch and Her First Love and Ultra Maniac are two shoujo manga with elements of romance and fantasy. The story focuses on two girls, one with long dark-colored hair who is well-known in her school, and another with short light-colored hair and a cheerful personality (though The Witch and Her First Love is mainly centered on the long-haired girl). One of these two girls is a witch of sorts and helps the other somewhat regularly with her powers. The art in both manga are also fairly charming.

Both are traditional magical girl shojo series that seem to focus more on romance and daily life than fighting enemies with magic. Both use the concept of witches and warlocks as magical beings.

They are both about cute, middle school girls with magical powers.

Both series feature a girl who puts on a public persona to make people like her and a boy she falls for who turns out to be doing the same. Kare Kano goes in a bit of a darker direction while Ultra Maniac turns magical girl to explore the funner aspects of such a situation.

Both girls are trying hard to be good at magic.

They are both about clumsy witches in training.

Cute Yoshizumi Wataru school-setting love stories that are great examples of her upbeat, manic, and really fun style.

Both series are magical romances featuring an ordinary schoolgirl and a character from another world as the central characters. Ultra Maniac has the otherworldly character as a girl and best friend and brings in supporting characters for the romance, while MeruPuri combines the two by having the otherworldly character as the romantic interest.

Magical x Miracle and Ultra Manic are both about girls who can't quite grasp the concept of Magic. Both series are perfect if you like that fantasy aspect.

Both are about a magical girl from another world who enrolls in school in the human world; both also have a cute, upbeat romantic comedy vibe.
