ok, the problem with this book is that there are no characters. Like, they have next to no personality whats so ever. Like, oh hes a flirt, shes 'not like other girls', the other guy reads... and? thats not enough. Theres no supporting cast either. People like each other but there really isn't any reason, they just do because Plot. And there is not real conflict. Now, shojo manga tends to have weak conflict but this has None. The end of book 4 has finished the story, not to spoil anything.

I hate to say it, but this was a great romance manga. I personally don't enjoy reading romance manga, but the story had me hooked, the art was flawless, the character development was to die for.
I'm so happy I got to read this series and I even took some dating tips away from it. Try to be more like Riku! Short Cake Cake is a cute manga you can easily read to pass your time. It starts off decent, with a cute protagonist, and honestly, that was enough for me.
I think it's just a personal thing, but I didn't really like the way the characters developed. I think they just changed too much from the ones I fell in love with at first (including the art, I miss the early design for Ten). However, I kept reading bc I still really loved MC. Been reading shortcake cake and thus far I like it (review written at 5 volumes, have read 8 currently)

I personally enjoyed this heart touching story.At the beginning, i thought it will just be a typical shoujo with ml, fl, second ml, drama etc but that's not what I found.The plot is interesting and I love the character development.Along the line i shed lots of tears but there where also cute moments so i don't regret reading till the end.I particularly loved the second ml.He was such a reliable person.

tldr - This manga is good but there is actually no plot. Like I feel so disconnected from the characters and the story.
______ Anyways, it's really cute and the art is good (it's like the default romance one); character designs are strange at times but the main 2 are really good-looking imo. This was pretty amazing imo..I wasn't expecting so much from it but because it's from the same author as a sign of affection I read it and it was an emotional rollercoaster. It's not just a love story actually it is a journey of forgiveness and acceptance .. I really hate love triangles that is the reason I put the manga on to read for so long but I am glad I read it ..they didn't complicate things actually with the love interests and everyone was happy with what they got ...
