Synopsis

Every year, Lord Nicola A. Bradherley, one of Europe's leading aristocrats, sends his coach round to various orphanages to adopt little girls and trains them to join his opera troupe. But most of these girls never make it onto the stage—a far more sinister fate awaits them, sacrificed in the name of the greater good.

This is a story set in a medieval , featuring lords, prisons, nobles, and orphanages. These seemingly unrelated elements are fatefully intertwined, kicking off the nightmare for the girls in the story. While most people find such manga plots hard to stomach and accept, it's worth remembering that medieval history was like this—war was the norm at that time, and there was no talk of human rights or moral standards.

I give all the points to the story, as the premise and the setting is the best points, however I sadly have to take it down because of the characters and pacing. This manga is gory and quite traumatic in a sense that you feel bad for the main character, and she just keeps getting worse treatment. However, it is a short read. I enjoy fucked up manga, as its my favorite, however ...

I found myself confused about many of the randomly introduced characters especially at the end with the death of this random woman named marilla? i believe. Deeply disappointed plot wise, only managed to make me feel pity and disgust towards the mistreatment towards the girls, the constant gang rape seemed unrealistic, honestly the whole system seemed ...
