Story :
Well there's not much story into this. It's just this guy met a half human half T-rex chick to move into his apartment complex.

Art :
Well don't expect a very good art from this but it kinda suits the atmosphere of the manga which is the "fun" atmosphere.

Character :
If we're talkin about character development well there ain't much but there might be in the future. They don't rush into these kind of things so it might take a while for them to develop the character but if you're asking me I don't really ... want too much development.

Enjoyment :
Well the purpose of this manga is to make the reader feel fun and relieve stress. So yeah it's a very fun manga.

Fans of monster girls, you've got to try this!

Not only is this a new take on the idea of monster girls, it's one of the better slice of life love comedies out there. If you like Ojojojo, Ninja Shinobu, etc., you will love this.

Story: 9
Perfect slice-of-life elements. The only pity is that it's too short. Sweet, to the point, and funny, this will lift your spirits after wading through a swamp of trashy dramas. It wraps up pairings nicely, without making anything feel forced, and it's one of the first romance where a confession doesn't occur, and isn't necessary at all.

Art: 9
Fits this mange well. ... Simplistic background and scenery, but characters are well drawn to fit their nature and personality. For a monster girl that's both dinosaur and human, you can feel the rawness in the art style that reflects the "Cretaceousness" of their primal side, like in how teeth are depicted with much more crudeness. Yet, you can also feel the typical cutesy Japanese manga girl from elements like hairstyle and eyes. There's also some good attention to detail as well, and certain elements maintain their needed continuity across panels.

Characters: 10
Unique, fun, memorable, and likable. Although their personalities might be slightly cliche, the addition of the dinosaur element evens things out and keeps things fresh. Character growth is apparent as the series progresses, and characters that is initially unlikable makes a reasonable comeback. One of the better aspect though is probably the translator's skillful and...liberal use of language in dialogues, which adds to the realism.

Enjoyment: 9
I thoroughly enjoyed this manga, although I definitely think more could be done. It has so much potential, breaking one of the new frontiers of the monster girl genre. While character backgrounds were explored, it certainly could have done much more towards that end. And, ffs, it'd just be nice to see more of the characters interacting with one another.

66 million years ago the non-avian dinosaurs went extinct during the Cretaceous - Paleogene mass extinction, however, in this manga they managed to adapt in this manga world they are living peacefully in our modern age. That's right, this manga has dinosaur girls. Hold on to your butts! If you ever like monster girls and think about dating an anthropomorphic dinosaur girl, be sure to give this a go. This was my very first manga I've read (first I needed to figure out how to read a manga, heh) and today Timz0r-senpai will give you some insight about this manga.

Story: 5/10 (Average)
Basicly it's a typical ... story were boy meets girl with mundane Slice of Life elements with a pinch of comedy on the side. In this case, boy meets dinosaur girl. In this case, a female anthropomorphic Tyrannosaurus rex named Churio and the human boy his name is Yuuma. This manga basicly tells you some troubles you can face if you ever going to date an anthropomorphic dinosaur. Too bad the story ended very fast and it really felt to me it got axed for another project. I don't think we will ever see a continuation of this story.

Art: 6/10 (Fine)
The art style is not really one of my favorite so far with the manga art that I have seen so far nowadays, but I do like the details that has been put in in the dinosaur girls thier dinosaur parts. Fans of dinosaurs really should reconize the dinosaur the dinosaur girl represents. As a self-titled paleontologist in training I give the author props for giving the dromaeosaur-girl even feathers like it should be.

Charather: 7/10 (Good)
I love the charathers in this manga. It's not a common sight you will see partly dinosaur girls interact in todays world and I love they have thier own prehistoric personallities what you would expect from a dinosaur girl.

For being my very first manga I've read and the fact I had to figure out first in which order I need to read a manga, I actully enjoyed this manga.

In overal I think this manga was ok enough & a fun read and I would recommend this one if you like monster girls, dinosaurs and can deal with mundane Slice of Life elements, combined with the struggles of romance and comedy. The bad part of it, well, as I already told you; it ended very fast and it really does feel it got axed somehow.

This was my first Manga i finished reading.

A short story, i always wanted to read manga, but i could never get into any of them.. But than i randomly found this manga and it hit my interests.

Boy, i couldn't believe how much i enjoyed reading! I never read books or mangas, i usually watch Anime or movies, but i don't regret starting this manga!

Story: 8
I've been a fan of Dinosaurs ever since i was a little kid. So, it was really suprising to find a manga a about dimension where dinosaurs and humans lived happily and peacefully. Now, we have the flintstones ofc! which is ... an all time classical cartoon and i think almost everyone grew up with it! But this manga was something different. Instead of living in the prehistory, this dimension is actually playing in the modern time! And Dinosaurs evolved into half humans!? It sounds so bad at first, but wait till you start reading it! it's so cute and hilarious!

Art: 7
I have to get used to the black-white style, since i only watched animes. Coloring is an really important faction for me when it comes to art. But the characters were all so well drawn, that i didn't miss the colors.

Character: 9
the characters are loveble if you ask me! Specially gotta love Churio and her dense personallity. As we might all know, Tyranosaurus rex has extremely small brains, making them well, not all too smart. I think the author of this manga really adepted this theory well on churio's character! Yuuma and churio are so cute together! Im not going to spoil any other characters as it might spoil the story.

Enjoyment: 9
I don't think ive laughed this much while reading, i really enjoyed reading it! I was reading page after page and before i knew it, it was finished!. Of course this is never going to have an animation,But i would so watch it if there would!

Overall, i have no regrets of this being my first ever finished manga and i hope i'll start reading more manga after this!

I won’t make this too long.

My Girlfriend is a T-Rex is a misleading title. Since no one actually gets together. But I can still assure you that if the main two were or were not together, you still get the same features of a general rom-com found in just about anywhere else as well.

There is no distinction in this manga, the narrative is a basic s.o.l which I find to have its merits from time to time whenever you are looking for something simple. In this sense, My Girlfriend is a T-Rex does well in this ... category, it doesn’t overstep anything and uses a wide range of activates from hanging out with friends, new people interactions, that one beach chapter, and the rest of it, instead of developing a central plot device like some “better” s.o.l out there, which in turn only gives short stories on just about anything and everything feasible to the main two. Though you can’t really expect anything of serious quality here as there wasn’t anything to really give it such a title in a small amount of space. It ends up being generic. But there is nothing wrong with generic stuff.

Pretty much all the characters here are flat and one-dimensional, but that would make sense given how the story doesn’t try to overdo anything. I won’t say that flat characters are bad, depending on where they are used really. They were here to serve a purpose and, well, serve it they did. Though they aren’t unique in any way, you have your baka girl (Churio), nice smiley guy (Yuuma), outgoing friendly girl (Torika), loud guy (Shima-something). They do well together in terms of character chemistry despite not having similar personalities. So I guess the characters are fine, but again, no serious quality.

Art is generic, again, nothing wrong with generic, but I would imagine some similar art style exists out there, thus making this the norm, thus it being of average quality. No attention to detail from what I remember, and the character designs are very basic.

With all kind of “highly intelligent criticism” out of the way. I enjoyed this a bit. I found myself laughing at some of the stuff here which is what a comedy needs me to do to be successful I suppose. Very cliché stuff so if you are easily annoyed by that I would stay away from it. It was also wholesome at times which is a win for most people’s books I would imagine. I’d recommend this to hardcore manga fans who want that lil’ bit more wholesome romance manga to add to their collection of things they have read. At the end of the day, My Girlfriend is a T-Rex has one mission to do and does a decent job at performing it.

TLDR: It is as most general low-end rom-coms are. Only serves for some fluff and fun.

For anyone wondering there is an ecchi tag here but I can tell you that there was virtually no ecchi. The first chapter is about the most you can get and that was basically Churio with her top half not covered. u r not getting dat ecchi here m8.

In summary, I felt that this manga is a bit refreshing as its manages to do more with this idea than most manga. Like imagine having a T-rex as a girlfriend. They managed to pull it off with an amazing idea like that.

The characters are pretty good and entertaining. Like the protagonist may look bland on the outside, but they actually gave him a pretty funny personality and history. The title character who is a T-rex girl is really cute and funny.

I guess that you can really sum up this manga series as cute and funny as that's what I got out of it. Not ... only that, it manages to subvert some cliches which is a major plus in my opinion.

The only flaw that I have is this one dino kid who is very bratty and annoying, but he only really appeared twice so I'm fine.

I know that I'm not saying so much, but I would just keep saying cute and funny. I highly recommend this to people who seen Ms. Kobayashi's Dragon Maid as it got a similar vibe, but is very different at least. At least with this manga, everyone is aware and it's normal for this to happen which is actually interesting. Just not sure how the science works though.

I told my friend about this cute, short, and fun manga about dinosaur-girls. I told him that the art was solid and that the story had a more "episodic" feel to it. I also told him that all the characters were fun and likable (except for maybe Nowol), and it was a treat to see them all interact with one another. I said that it's only two volumes with about fourteen chapters a volume, making it something that is easy to finish in maybe around two-three hours if you need a quick chuckle or heart-warmer. He then called me a dino-fucker and dino-fetishist. He also ... asked if I go to Natural Science Museums to jack-off. 8/10 just don't tell your unnaturally witty friends.

What if the dinosaurs still walked among us? As anime girls. But only from the waist up. It’s an interesting gimmick to be sure.

At its core this is a romantic comedy about a female delinquent and a reformed delinquent. So if you like clumsy and cute toughies, you’ll like the main girl. Some of the other girls are nice too. Also the MC actually has a best friend and so does the main girl which is something that can't always be said in this genre, so that's good.

It’s an interesting twist and has some interesting character designs. It doesn’t overstay it's welcome either being ... a modest 27 chapters.

Overall it's a 7/10
