Two classics of 90s shoujo manga.

Both series are spin-offs of a major magical girl series and primarily feature a monster of the week theme before entering a main conflict. They both focus on a specific magical girl instead of a team like their parent series. In the case of Sailor V it's the preexisting Sailor Venus, while in a La Mode it's the new character of Berry Shirayuki. Code Name Sailor V was conceptualized before Sailor Moon began and as a result feels more tight, especially since it's a prequel, while Tokyo Mew Mew a La Mode was a sequel.

On the actual 2 chapters that focus on Gorgeous Irene, it does somewhat give off a sailor moon/sailor venus vibe.

Cutie Honey and Codename: Sailor V are two magical girl manga featuring an athletic blonde-haired girl with a superhero secret identity as the main character. She is assisted by a male character who also knows about her identity as she has to fight an evil organization with magical abilities, weapons, and even shapeshifting. The comedy in both of these manga are really random and often tease the main character's outfit, though it's all arguably better in Sailor V as opposed to Cutie Honey.

Both mix episodic stories, protagonist-centric heroics, frenetic humour, and an over-the-top grandiose presentation of events to achieve somewhat typical but very cute and fun early '90s shoujo series.

Both are mahou shoujo and have pets that help the main characters. They also explore the funny side.
