If you are looking for a manga in which the main character is sent into another world you might enjoy this one.
The main character while not unique, is different from your average easy going main characters. He is very smart; anti social and arrogant, he doesn't want to help others if he doesn't gets compensation for it. However he always finds some sort of benefit for ending up saving the ones really in need.
This manga seems to have many nicely implemented manga references such as Log Horizon (when the MC face is all dark but you can clearly see his glasses), Shokugeki no Souma

I've read the first 26 chapters and my conclusion is as follows: This is a mediocre shonen action adventure fantasy story. Might just be the definition of an overall 5/10.
Let's start with the best part, the main character. Thanks to his cool demeanor and very pragmatic worldview he is a notch better than his peers, even though he is nothing really special. At least the story spends some time fleshing out his character. Initially his arrogant attitude and constant childish bickering with Arnold (one of his companions) were rather aggravating, but this issue seems to be coming up less as the story goes on, which ... Slight spoilers ahead, but they don't interfere with the story.
I tried liking the series, I really did, but there's so many things going wrong that would've made this series amazing if it had gone right. This entire series is about little children, specifically, little girls, who fall in love with the MC protag. Each of them have the exact same personality, gets treated in the same manner by the MC, and have the same exact backgrounds. Every character in the series can be summed up in two sentences: "I'm an orphan who underwent trauma." and "I'm in love with the MC" Speaking of the MC, for someone who ... Oct 17, 2021
The first thing I must say about this - it's very bad.
But it is the perfect example of "barely readable", "mildly ineresting" adventures that keeps the ideal balance between two elements - enjoyment and boredom, without one of them reaching you enough to feel any emotion. The recipe is: 1) Hollow cardboard characters 2) Something happens? I guess? 3) At least nothing too horrible to point out Despite my statement that it's bad, it's far beyond the scale of "good or bad" beacuse of how mediocre it is. I just wanted to convey that it's not worth your time. You should try this ONLY if you have literally nothing ... |
