No reviews here, so I will make an informative review.

The first thing is first. There are actually 5 chapters, all under "GON Selection". Though I would assume with MAL's manga DB guidelines, since 4 of the 5 chapters are panel for panel, page for page, carbon copies with the original Gon, they never counted it in as part of the chapter count.

With the original content chapter, or "Gon: A Very, Very Lucky Birth". It is a 19 page short that features less of the character Gon than any chapter of the original manga does. Is it a good chapter? Compared to the original. No. This ... is easily the worst. As a standalone. Meh, it's alright. There wasn't really anything here that comes out as memorable. Just pygmy hippos (those mice thingy) living in the wild. Has a few words at the end too. For some reason, felt like the art quality decreased as well.

Nothing too diverged from what Gon gives, and does ok-ish as an add on to the series, but this is nothing short of some "the-extra-bit-no-one-cares-about" to what is a great story. Would still read it, it isn't long or jarring to go through.

5/10 sounds about right, I suppose.
