Both are mangas who differ from the anime they have as their origin. Even though the Blood+ manga does differ in storyline, it doesn't in setting, while Blood-C: Izayoi Kitan uses a different setting than its parent story, Blood-C (so it's pretty much a prequel). However, both seem to focus more on light and friendlier setting than both of their rather dark and unhappy anime counterparts. They both have action, mystery and homour. Still, they revolve around the same topics, like fighting demons, and a girl named Saya, who is the only one who can stop them.

This is a prequel story to both the manga and the anime. If you love Blood+ especially the manga, Blood+ Adagio is a must read!

They both share a similar storyline: They feature a somehow ancient species which is attacking humankind, as well as a protagonist who is one of those monsters, but tries to get along with humans. Furthermore, in both manga the normal human population doesn't know a thing about those monsters; only a secret organisation tries to hunt them down for the sake of mankind. Also, both protagonists are member of this organization. Blood+ and RwTnYwM also share the fact that the protagonist is struggling with the fact of not being human, but still trying to be with them.

If you enjoyed the Vampire Knight Manga, I would recommend the Blood + Anime. Blood suckers, hunters, war, a romantic triangle, obsession, memory loss, pain, tragic twins, sacrifice, death, a small hint of "school life"... it is all there. They are so very similar, It is scary. I would have to say that Blood + can be a lot more intense though.

Aiko reminded me a lot of Saya on how they both thought that they were monsters and were used as weapons to kill them. So in this way both mangas have preety much the same plot.

Both shows deal with vampires. Both shows have main characters who have siblings in the opposing faction. Both of them vow to defeat their siblings so that there would be no more harm. Both of them doubt about themselves until they eventually accept who they are.

Sebastian look like Hagi. xD And both of these manga have a master/servant relationship. There is also a dark atmosphere.

When I first found Once Upon a Glashma, I thought they had the same artist. The style of art is similar, there's no denying. But it's not just the art that makes me reccomend this series! As a huge Blood+ fan, I can say I really enjoyed Glashma enough to put it in my top favorite series, probably because they're similar in ways. Ah, just go read Blood+, you'll see what I mean.

Though they are different in story and tone, these two series share similar art and athletic, short haired teenage girls as main characters.

Plenty of gore, original storyline, mystery, original characters. Both revolves around history a lot.

Both about a near-human female demon who has to fight her own kind. Main characters both have amnesia and a split-personality which enables them to be adopted into a family. Main characters also lose their shit a couple times and kill regular humans for no reason.

Both female leads are strong, short-haired, sword-wielding monster hunters with attractive male comrades that assist them.
