Same mangaka. Both series have the typical epic/seinen Urasawa stile and great characters.

You will find yourself mesmerised by the amazing storytelling, dramatic character development, and the enveloping mystery of the plot in these two publications.

If you love sci-fi, especially cyberpunk, these are for you. Both of them have interesting plot, and fascinating action involving cyborgs and highly developed robots. And both main characters have lost their memories. Differences are: 1) Pluto is detective manga, while Gunnm is not. 2) Gunnm's plot setting is in a quite distant future, in the dystopian 26th century. Pluto's plot is in the futuristic 21st century. So, if you like Action, Sci-Fi, Seinen, you should read these.

Sci-fi manga about coexistence of robots and humans, and troubles specific to robbots.

Original story, but completely different otherwise. Might not enjoy it but its nice to see the source material for Pluto.

both series' are supposed to be a commentary on society. Beastars uses animals to communicate discrimination by using things like herbivores and carnivores. Pluto uses robots and humans to do this and utilises stuff like mechanical and biological things. Both showcase discrimnation and unjust in society. Both are a reimagining of the current world but they both substitute it with other things but essentially the problems in beastars and pluto are evident in the real world too!

How did you decide that something is good or bad? Did you prefer to choose something for the greater good or lesser evil? Both Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction and Pluto tales a realistic story on how human and AI (in Pluto) behave when given a conflict of morality. Would they kill a person to save others? or would they save a person that kill others?

Both are seinen manga with robot that works for the police and part of the story deals with human fears of working/living alongside robots and how they could bring harm to them. Though Officer Monju are overall lighter in terms of tone (the story becomes pretty dark later on) while Pluto are darker and is more serious right from the start.

Gunslinger Girl and Pluto are strikingly similar. Both follow mainly robots (or cyborgs, in GG's case, but they serve the same narrative purpose) and their examination of their humanity. Both feature a lot of international intrigue, spread across many countries. Both question the future of mankind and other usual sci-fi themes. And, finally, both are just as good as the other, alike in their good points (character writing and plotting) and bad ones (too bleak and with some lifeless scientific/political exposition).

I recommend Pluto as it has has a lot of the dark, mystery, and psychological themes that Berserk has. To be complete honestly, Berserk is so special that no show will be anywhere near similar to it. Its a masterpiece. Pluto is as well, can't wait for the anime adaptation.

Both manga create an atmosphere of tension, as they both deal with a series of murders / bizarre deaths. The settings are a bit different, since Pluto has robots, while Doumu has psychics. Also both manga also have a powerful child protagonist (Atom & Etsuko). Overall, both are award-winning manga, that have a fast pace and engaging plot, which makes them similar to some degree.

Both deal with the political, ethical and philosophical aspects of the development of robotics and artificial intelligence.

they are almost same IN EVERY ASPECT , only difference is ETERNAL SABBATH deals with artificial life forms , while PLUTO deals with artificial intelligence and robotics

Both titles feature created beings and the interaction/struggle to fit into the existing society. Pluto features humans as the dominant form, while Flat Earth Exchange features androids as the semi caretakers of the world after a cataclysmic event.

The two share a similar tone, theme, and central conflict. Both deal with the morality and ethics of scientifically making people, whether those people are truly human, and if they should be treated as human or as sub-human.
