Death Panda is the cutest panda since Sexual Harassment Panda. With the contrast between his fur, laden with heart shaped white splotches, and his vicious teeth and claws, he is fucking adorable. Be forewarned, this story doesn't have any incredible characters; most of them don’t do too much before dying. It is not very thrilling. It is not all that grotesque or messed up, not compared to previous Uziga Waita manga. It sure ain't scary. So what are its strengths? It is pretty funny, for one. It’s really funny, actually. It's about a demonically cute panda that rapes and kills at a whim; as you ... can imagine, people's reactions to him are pretty priceless. This shock value humor almost renders Death Panda as a kind of one-trick pony, but it manages to spice things up with exceedingly creative brutality, injected with a scathing wit and an unpredictable nature, and then it concludes before its ephemeral appeal wears off its welcome. Despite Death Panda's inherently transient nature, augmented by its high entertainment value, in its duration it ironically and moralistically explores things like familial relations, homosexuality, animal captivity, the meaning of evil, idolatry, reincarnation, and the metaphysical definition of the distinction between human and beast. No, this is not a philosophical or “deep” manga, it merely satirizes these things. It also satirizes the power rangers.

For a good example of the type of comedy you are like to find in Death Panda: in one Uziga Waita manga, Death Face, a girl calls an obese mentally deficient man ugly. He then rips her vaginal opening with his hands, turns her inside out, and embraces her remains as they ooze blood, guts, and cokroaches. He then lachrymosely warbles out the age-old cliché of "we are all the same on the inside." This strange and repulsive sense of humor is omnipresent in all Uziga Waita works, and that is what you should expect in this one as well. The reason his manga tend to be underrated is that people expect erotism or serious and dark plot from his work, when those things were clearly never his strengths. He is a humorist at heart, strangely enough; it's just a very dark sense of humor. I find his style to be clever and fresh, but not all will. Still, the story was very unpredictable and it was perfectly paced, so I must at least give it a 7/10. The art is well-done, with admittedly more detail done on the characters' entrails than their faces, but it's also a 7/10 because it definitely accomplishes what it was designed to do and the detail is there when it is needed. Characters have over-the-top and entertaining development, although they are just vehicles for the plot, and I have to give them a 7/10 or a 7.5/10. Enjoyment is easily Death Panda's biggest strength, as it is incredibly engaging despite not exactly being profound or groundbreaking; I have to give it at least 9/10 for enjoyment. Overall, it's a semi-weak 8. It certainly lacks universal appeal, but the niche it was designed for, the readers who have no issue stomaching it, could consider it a potential classic.

By coincidence I heard about this manga, so I wanted to check it out.
The basic synopsis is a giant demonic panda comes from out of nowhere and begins to kill, dismember and rape most of his victims, sometimes simultaneously, ok don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Elfen Lied, Berserk, Gunnm, and Claymore, all of which are pretty violent and sometimes gory, accepted, but the aforementioned mangas, as well as their companion animes have great stories to explain the violence, in other words the violence and gore are important to telling the story, however with death panda, the over the top violence and ...

This manga is first of all a lighthearted, and slightly grotesque, love comedy. Many will not appreciate it, as there is horrible killing and rape mixed together throughout the whole manga. But if one is able to see past this, one will notice funny parodies, sweet love, and that happy ending which is defining for a story to be a real comedy (at least after ancient standards).

The story is more than decent for a hentai manga, though at times a little hard to follow, while the characters other than the panda are pretty generic types that are often found as side characters in harem mangas. ...

Death Panda is, in a word, hilarious. There is something about a cartoonish giant panda bear with heart-shaped patterns and the world's greatest rape face (and rape face is to be understood literally) tearing up and violating people that tickles my funny bone. Perhaps it's because you don't get to know the victims. Perhaps because some of them are stupid or assholes. Perhaps I'm just trying to cope or I am just twisted. Perhaps because… is that a Giraffe violating a shrine maiden with it's head? Did Death Panda just violate a Red Panda and then rip the bodies of the onlooking crowd with his ... ejaculate like a high pressure water cutter cuts through metal?
The humor lies in how over the top the acts are performed, how ludicrous the entire situation is, how detached from reality the entire manga seems to be. It seems more akin to the charm of a B-Horror movies with a little extra budget for bloody special effects and a slightly deranged creative team.
This becomes very clear when humans do what Death Panda does for very human reasons, albeit very pathetic and weak ones. It's scenes like these that hit very hard in the uncomfortable zone and not when Death Panda devours one of his victims during the act. Death Panda himself is a very inhuman being, with no origin story and a lot of his actions lack apparent motivation, so he is mostly an enigma yet kinda interesting.
The story does not only follow Death Panda's unholy exploits, but also the shrine maidens Suzuran and Saran who have vowed to hunt him down. They aren't really that deep characters by any stretch of the imagination (one is a hard-working warrior who lacks innate power and therefore must struggle to defeat the Panda, the other is a haughty, slightly sadistic usurper), but they serve to bring the point across, one is a hard-working warrior who lacks innate power and therefore must struggle to defeat the Panda, the other is a haughty, slightly sadistic usurper. This isn't done in any great artistic way, but it is at the very least extremely memorable (kind of a package deal with all the death, rape, obscenity and gore).
This series indeed has more of a plot and thought behind it than your average hentai, but it still fetishizes a lot of things you would only have nightmares about: guro, vorarephilia (fetishized cannibalism), rape, zoophilia, a constant juxtaposition of food and mutilation sex and snuff. If sounds unreadable to you, by all means, DON'T READ THIS.
The human character designs are reminiscent of School Rumble, though special detail goes to the animal designs, but quite frankly, nobody will read this for the art.
If you think over-the-top violence is hilarious, you will have a blast, but if you're squeamish, traumatized or disgusted by any of the stuff mentioned here, there if no point in forcing yourself onto this. And if you know you get turned on by guro, you gotta find out if those glistening guts pitch your tent or not because I have no idea if they might and I want to keep it that way, thank you.

Officially it is the worst manga or comic (or anything that can be read) that I have read ... it is a complete garbage. Don't get me wrong, I like raw and scary stories, those that leave you reflecting on human behavior and how similar to beasts we are, but this manga is ... absurd. Mixed Feelings

The Death Panda is a good manga, that is if you into guro and black comedy. The arts magnificent, mostly because of the detail and the deaths are somewhat creative.

The designs of the characters are also magnificent, something about a heart covered panda and giraffe eating and murderer people is funny. If course the hentai part is in all honesty, not that good, well The Death Panda can turn into a human and is (as expected) a rapist. Classic Waita Uziga. The human forms are also appealing, but is quickly ruined by the murder and rape.

Story: 3/10, the story, like most hentai, sucks. But ...
