The story seems similar as in the protagonist has a very large potential for personal gain yet instead uses their abilities to help others arounf them. In Trigun, Vash wanders from place to place while in Rurouni Kenshin, Kenshin wanders after the war like Vash does. Also in both mangas, the main character is drawn towards a female character who at first resents and even gets extremely annoyed at them, but later warms up to them.

Same author, obviously. But aside from that, Blood Blockade Battlefront carries all of the frenetic action that you loved in Trigun Maximum, but pushes beyond the bounds you thought impregnable in terms of visual absurdity. Every page is Nightow having a field day with really fun and abstract settings, characters, and demon designs It's also got the good ol' Trigun sense of humor going for it. The Dark Horse releases are also far more legible than their translations of TriMax. You should get them!

Another series of a sort of Western (of course Trigun is a scifi mix) of a mysterious man on a mission. While Red is fueled by violent revenge, Vash is taken by woeful pacifism. But hey, Knives and Wolfwood are there for that. Despite its setting, Red tends a bit in the ridiculous guns Trigun's Yasuhiro Nightow loves so much.

Both Manga have similar seems of Pacifism in brutal worlds although they have different character start points I really believe that their the seems overlap a lot especially towards the end of maximum and the middle of Vinland Saga

Both cover similar themes at some point of their stories, even if one dives deeper into them than the other or cover them in different ways. They both deal with: death/the nature of death, deaths of loved ones, trauma, survivor's guilt, loneliness, the nature of killing and self-sacrifice. Trigun Maximum lacks the driving revenge motivation Berserk has. Vash and Guts have both have tragic pasts, one event in particular being brought up repeatedly throughout each of their journeys that have heavily impacted their situation, goals and personalities. Both have the characters going around a vast world (medieval dark fantasy in Berserk and an alternate wild  read more

I find Part 2 of Naruto reminiscent to that of Trigun Maximum: Naruto-Vash Might Guy-Wolfwood Akatsuki-Gung Ho Guns Pain-Legato Tobi-Knives Millions It gets more serious and dark at this point with additional death casualties and action pack with uncovering mysteries that wraps up the story.

Characters are similar. Both Vash and Warrick are easygoing while Nicholas and Nicolas have a more serious nature. Both Trigun and Gangsta are somewhat bloody.

It's full of over the top action and BA characters just like Trigun, but better.

Vash and Kyo are fairly similar individuals. Both have powerful sides, while their outward sides are peaceful (albeit perverted) goofballs. They even preach "LOVE AND PEACE!" Also, both have girls who initially follow them due to the ludicrous bounty on their head, but gradually come to care for them. Keep in mind Trigun is the more peaceful episodic part while Maximum is the "serious business" continuation.
