Like manga about a school which has a terrible society in which the school is built on with plot holes and two denominational characters? You will LOVE this.

Taking place in a high school (bc which horror manga is complete without dumbass teenagers in a school setting?) both manga feature a king, who is in charge of a game that basically decides the lives of the participants of the game (aka the students). Taking part is mandatory, because those who don't participate, suffer serious consequences. If you're a fan of the genre and are willing to overlook poor characters, little to no plot development, lots of plot holes and questionable decisions made by the characters, then both manga will prove to be entertaining for you.

Both manga feature a 'caste' system in their respective schools - the hierarchy of which is determined by the games you play, and how you fare at those games. There's a 'king', who's a lying and manipulative bastard. He holds on to his dear position, but is obviously dethroned by the most unexpected candidate. In both the manga, the teachers are either ignorant of what happens right in front of them, or for some God damn reason (which obviously isn't explained) allow all the bullying and harassment to happen. Nobody knows who started the game or why, and everybody's stupid enough to just play along, instead  read more

Both feature characters that could be considered a little twisted. If you like possessive, crazy, and conflicting characters, you will probably like both of these titles.

The air about these two school based yaoi manga is similar. The room that "explicit things" are done in, as well as being headquarters for the dominant group and the school being ruled by the strong. They differ in that : in Caste Heaven they are elites and have cards that state who is on top, and in Rouge it is a delinquent school where strength determines the leader.

When I think of Caste Heaven I think of a "darker" themed yaoi manga and thus I recommend Saezuru. Mafia trope but the main character is the "cum dumpster" of the series and goes through a lot of psychological and philosophical processes whilst the other protagonist is impotent, yet in love with said character. I just think it's a really well put together manga that deserves everyone's attention and I put it on the same level as Caste Heaven.

Both Caste Heaven and Arisa revolve around a mysterious game the students play at school. The games they play involve a "King". While in Caste Heaven the games decide who will be the King (who will get their every will and command obeyed by everybody), in Arisa there's already a "King" (who grants the winner one wish). The difference in genre is that Caste Heaven is BL while Arisa is shoujo.  read more

While not as severe as most yaoi (it's technically shounen ai and even then, no actual kissing or genuine affection takes place), there is a lot of flirting and brutal pain to be had in this manga. The main character is Subaru who has a pure heart and cares deeply for everyone he meets while his pursuer is an Assassin who considers everyone else to be less than objects. I just think with how twisted the characters are (especially when it follows into X) and the darkness of the series contrasts well with Caste Heaven.
