well, since no one has reviewed this manga, i might as well:
dolls code follows the life of Yuuki Oku who finds his way to a a secret institution that 'teaches' (its not really teaching but like?!??!) child criminals. but heres the catch: in a class of seven, each kid has a part of their body taken away from them.
to graduate, they need to find the 'puppet student' amongst them who was created with the missing body parts and retrieve what was taken from them.
REVIEW:
to be honest, i didn't really think that a pretty complex story line could actually be unfolded within 10 chapters -and honestly,

Ah yes, a manga I stumbled upon years ago. Heavily disappointing as my first review on here...
Doll's code at first glance of the synopsis and peaks is an interesting manga and not for the easy faint of heart due to some of its subject matters it fails to do mostly anything about if it's not murder to say at the least. [story: 6/10] With a basic yet still boring plot forcing them to "bond" to understand each, and you know, get your body parts back from Frankenstein .JR. The mystery is interesting having most viewers on their feet, even keeping the identity of the puppet for ... Apr 1, 2018
I SHIPPED SO MANY OF THEM!!!! I'm screaming (in my mind) about how I ship the twins and over so much and it was very deep, and EPIC I recommend this.
I like how the characters were super cute, they were so emotional, and trying so hard the struggle was very fun to read about I loved the ending, it was satisfying, everything turns out well and they all learn their morals and so on. the story was also very insightful, deep, and emotional. It wasn't too long and not too short, I completed it in a day.... Everybody seems so harsh but you find that they are all ... Dec 28, 2019
I'm not the best at writing snopsis or rewiews but I wanted to tell why this manga is one my favorites.
The thing about Dolls Code is it's story was easy to guess like I found out who was the doll in the first chapter when I saw him on the page and said myself "I shouldn't like this character much he will certanly die in the end.". I was right he died. I got very sad because in 10 chapters (400 pages to be more spesific) the mangaka devoloped the characters as much as s/he can. Maybe not as much as some other series but ... I haven't seen any very in-depth review of this manga, so I might as well try. Also, I feel this needs to be said because I don't see it anywhere, but trigger warning for rape mentions, an implied rape scene and implied incest in this manga. There's a few minor spoilers, but they're very very minor. There's an spoiler-free final veredict which sums up everything I said though.
Story: 4 The story is Dolls Code's absolutely weakest point. Let's go over it for a bit: the story is about a group of highschool students who have committed crimes and are now captured inside an evil school ... Feb 19, 2024
When I first read it's synopsis, I was extremely hyped, 7 student's trapped in a school, they commited crimes, now have to participate in a death game, their body parts are missing and one of them is a doll made out of those body parts. Like even thinking about it now, it sounds really great, but what did we get, it was not a death game.. challenes in this manga were, go find a key, go find a doll but it's okay if you don't find it, the mystery about one of them being a secret doll was forgotten up until the last chapter which

They could just check the red-hair guy if he got a dick and the mystery is solved, the MC would be the puppet.
This manga is like a story that wants to be horror but has no logic tied to it so it just makes it unrealistic and not horror at all, at least that is what i get from reading 1 chapter, anyway this review needs to be longer for some reason so heres some non-spoiler characteristics of this manga: they apparently use non-existent retro technology to keep the characters alive which is interesting i guess, but nonetheless this review is still lacking the volume ... |
