This is a profoundly disappointing manga, exhibiting the worst traits of the medium, namely the sexual 'male gaze' of children, a nauseating relationship between a young teen and an adult double her age, and depiction of women as simple-minded folk obsessed with getting into the protagonist's pants.
It's disappointing because the manga's premise is bold and its themes highly compelling, exploring the suffering and injustice of children during wartime, and the predicament the protagonist finds himself in. Using children as soldiers is obscene, and yet the protagonist believes the alternative for them is even worse (prostitution, death, etc). Their justification is to somehow make enough money

Reading this manga is almost like watching the news. In a country you've never heard of, women are kidnapped and sold. Children are trained to shoot guns and kill. And foreign people are fighting for financial gain. "The events recorded in this manga are based off of the state of the world in the time it was written."
Story: The protagonist works as a consultant at a mercenary company. He gives orders, and the fighters obey them. Honestly I thought it was gonna be boring. Because it's the real world, and in our time. But this story does a surprisingly good job by taking things ...

This review I am obligated to write one after reading 64 chapters. You see this manga depicts the harsh reality of our world, that is child trafficking, child soldiers and other brutal circumstances that we only hear in news. however there is on caveat to this manga, this manga shows hope for the children, while in real world its just not the option available.
Story is pretty good, it not very impactfull but it is good nonethless. it is filled with optimism. even though there are bits where it gets uncomfortable to read and go through without getting disgusted. but thats the point to ...

Graphic Depiction of Rape, graphic violence (including against children), sexualisation of children, “romance” between child and adult TL:DR Gritty and realistic military-focused manga with a plot that will have you binge reading to the final chapter, a real page turner. Great protagonist and interesting side characters, but their potential is wasted and the author can't write women.
