The two of them are short stories about a kid that gets to know a classmate who is trying to hide their family issues. Both mangas show how that classmate changes the kid's life and they deal with bad parenting, coming out of age, and death. 

Okay first they give the sama aura and they are similar the story builed for the socking amazing but beautiful ending believe me if you loved kamisama ga uso you will like this too ^_^ 

short stories that have a very somber tone as well as content and alot of messed up bullying going around in it as well too. 

They're both about a boy and a girl growing a bond through a difficult situation. Just like in 'A Silent Voice' the male character in 'The Gods lie' forms a bond with the female lead by being there for her and helping her our during difficulties in her life. Though unlike 'A Silent Voice' he's not there for her because of a disability, but more through helping her with her difficult living conditions. This is a very sweet and emotional one shot story that I'm sure fans of 'A Silent Voice' will enjoy.  

The breathtaking artwork is what tell the stories of these children. You can see the depth of her emotions in a tearful glance or shadowed by fine lines around a semi-forced smile. Mangakas use expert placement and various levels of shading to showcase the realm of grief, anxiety, fear or simple and simple frustration and sometimes even joy and warmth. The narrative is in the details. Koe no Katachi and Kamisama ga Uso wo Tsuku are not just manga you can read to get the full formal or thematic power. It is something you must experience through its visuality and art. 

Both Koe no Katachi and Kamisama ga Uso wo Tsuku do have a touching story and a special ability to deliver the feelings to the reader. Both stories, while sad, do provide hope and happiness too. Both are about a friendship between a school boy and a school girl.
