Story:
Comfortably intelligent. It slowly lets on about certain aspects of the world without making me feel stupid. It's quite sophisticated, but due to the short length, certain aspects aren't given a lot of air to work with. Not only that, it's very swift to completion and feels premature. Perhaps a singular volume would have been ideal. Either way, for the length, it's still quite enjoyable.
The general premise is quite interesting and could have a lot of potential given it had more time to pursue certain aspects, but we'll have to be comfortable with what little content we have. I'm glad Miura went on to work

*Futatabi* is a story I find remarkably interesting, though not quite because of anything that the story itself is doing. So instead of separating the sexes why not just make some people infertile (namely the poor)? This manga makes no damn sense what gain could you get from separating the sexes into different sections. You have these metropolis but you can't figure out how to make some people infertile so men and women can live together in the same bubble? So much of this manga makes no sense to me you could tell this was 19 year old Kentaro trying to think of something fantasy wise I would've loved to have seen Kentaro do a scifi cyberpunk manga but sadly that will never come to
