I never thought I would dislike an Urasawa Naoki manga...
Until today. I decided the checkout the 200 page really short seemingly innocent Mujurushi. Now the main reason I put it so low is because of how short it is, if it was longer no doubt Naoki would have been able to work his story telling genius into making a fantastic ending and long form manga. However given the ridiculous and weird plot I doubt even more volumes would have helped. There's a lot to digest the story was not bad however by his standards it's a 7 at best and this coming from a
...
guy who gave Pluto and 20th Century Boys a 10 (masterpieces please read them). Iwami is up there with Jar Jar Binks as characters that can somehow ruin an entire story beginning to end with his horrific character design and dialogue befitting a horror movie where I die of cringe. Other than that stupid French wannabe the rest of the plot and characters are decent I enjoyed the father daughter dynamic and I enjoyed how intelligent the young girl was. The whole factory plot and then the sudden twists that occurred in the later chapters remediates the story and the firefighter guy was by far the standout good guy of the story overall it's not bad but it is disappointing coming from Naoki. I still say check it out. Oh and I've always been a critic of Naoki's art, it's his story telling that transcends the medium of manga and turns every comic he makes into a novel series.
Spoilers section: I can't understand why the father would take her back till I remembered this shit is normal in Japan apparently. I would play devil's advocate and say he did it for his daughter either way throw that hoe wife away. Iyami was really goddamn annoying ruined the entire manga for me with his disgusting character design.

I hate this ending. I'm here to give you the reasons why. If you want to you can go hate on me inside my profile page, I'm not here to appease the fanboys. I want to provide my opinion on this, this is not a hate piece on Attack on Titan just the ending please let me be clear this bad ending does not ruin the show for me and should not ruin the show for others however it is bittersweet. This is not a Game of Thrones Season 8 situation where one season ruins the entire show it's just these last 10 chapters.
"No
...
I don't want that! Mikasa finding another man?! I want her to think about me and no one else for the rest of her life! Even after I die...I want her to be hung up on me for a while! Ten years at least!" This is actual dialogue from the show now I'm no expert in romance my pyscho mentally insane first wife left me in about a year after getting together. I'm still depressed does this ruin my credibility on making rationale critical reviews perhaps. But goddamn, in all the time Eren had he never had a care in the world for any romance with Mikasa. She has made repeated advances since they were children even after learning he had 13 years to live for a damn long time, this man still did not care. I get the author wanted to play into the EreMikasa fandom (even though Historia and Eren is a way better couple and isn't incest and yes banging your adopted siblings is incest get over it you miscreants). The dialogue is terrible and makes no sense. Maybe Isayama was voicing his own opinions on this kind of thing ( I relate heavily) but it’s so out of left field and makes no damn sense. Now he's worried about being cucked? You never even kissed her ffs. Now that we've taken a look at Eren let's analyze some other major let downs. Mikasa being able to free Ymir by killing Eren due to Ymir loving her rapist genocidal pedophile husband so much so that she wanted to kill herself but still serve him after she died? Fine. But how is this incredibly shocking and heavy plot development portrayed to us? It's hard to believe, but The Founder Ymir was in love with Karl Fritz. That's why Ymir's restriction has persisted for the last 2000 years. With no additional context of how such a contrived situation developed. What an asspull. In all fairness maybe this plot point deserves a pass because of the Stockholm syndrome Ymir gained from being with her husband from the time of 10.
Armin wanting to express his condemnation of Eren's actions while also reassuring him as a friend? Fine. But how is this incredibly complex series of statements and emotions shown to us? Eren. Thank you. You became a mass murderer for our sake. This is genocide apologia. He made a quote on quote terrible mistake HE KILLED BILLIONS and wiped 80% of the Earth wtf. YEAH GREAT BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW ELDIA WAS TURNED TO RUBBLE LATER WHAT WAS THE POINT IN STOPPING EREN?. Some other picks: Jean and his fellow corps having extremely emotional goodbyes only to become titans for a a few days only to be then instantly reverted back as if nothing happened. Yelena literally vanishing from the story this is not a case of Araki forgot which is an urban legend the great Hirohiko Araki would never forget Isayama would. Falco being able to fly and save the alliance just because of a memory. The alliance managing to fend off an assault by dozens of organized titan shifters with the only casualty being Levi's leg with unlimited thunder spears and gas for assurance.
Again I would like to reiterate my thank you to Isayama for all the hard work and great storytelling he made for the first 130 chapters of AOT the ending was terrible and I am allowed to say that. AOT is still one of the best anime in existence but the ending was bad.

I notice not many people have seen this but Ginga Patrol Jaco was a really good short fun manga. Now it's only 1 volume and around 11 chapters maybe 220 pages but in that short time I actually came to like Jaco and the scientist guy and even the random girl from the capital Tights. Likeable characters and a nice slice of life retreat from the plot of Dragon Ball. The art is well done as usual from Toriyama and the action scenes at least the few we get are quite good, the comedy was the best aspect of this manga as we get some
...
real personality development from Jaco and even the villains it's incredibly well fleshed out for a 200 page manga. I must say the tie back of Bulma's older sister being Tights was fantastic and brilliant.

No Spoilers
Sabuiki Bisco tries its absolute hardest to be this wild crazy mashup of different Shonen tropes and some random idiosyncrasies added into it. I wanted to enjoy this show that was truly nutty as fruitcake which is why I rated it as high as I did. Then we got the 2nd and 3rd episodes which has led to nothing short of a disaster. This is mainly due to borrowed content and garbage character designs, with its biggest Achilles Heel being the superficial inarticulate mind-bogglingly trivial story.
Story - 3
Dear reader are you interested in a show with a misunderstanding as its main selling point?
...
Along with unrealistic viruses, terrible pacing and an unappealing cast of characters? Then welcome aboard. Sabuiki Bisco's world suffers from a rust problem and we are led to believe that mushrooms are the cause of this unspeakable evil. Well if you have an IQ under 70 you might've believed that. Given we are watching a generic Shonen action anime there is no chance for our protagonist to be a villain. So oh wow guys the virus is actually cured by mushrooms! Who would've thought? The plot is extremely shallow which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Take Demon Slayer as an example it had a shallow plot yet it was good enough and interesting enough to keep us glued to our seats. This show removes any intrigue it had by just saying: "Hey so this is basically how the world works stupid viewer, keep watching us weekly now that any mystery available is gone." So apparently this is supposed to be a post-apocalyptic anime and initially I was excited, only to realize that it's literally ordinary Tokyo rebuilt with desert surrounding it...
Art -5
Honestly, not a fan of the art, the character designs look off and everything is pretty poor by 2022 animation standards, I know it's a new studio but there's a certain lack of polish to the actual characters, the cyberpunk backgrounds look alright to be fair. We get a bunch of clowns dressed up in oddly familiar rabbit heads. Oh, gee where have I seen this one before mate? Ah yes, the absolute garbage Doubt manga that was supposed to be scary but just made me laugh instead. That's what the costumes in Sabuiki Bisco made me do. Every character looks off, even the whales in the sky are a ripoff of Re Zero.
Sound -7
I'm indifferent to the OST at times it's great, at times it's normal. The OP is far too over exaggerative for me to enjoy as the singer sounds like she's trying to sing death metal to a pop beat which fails epically and leaves me royally upset. Though I don't dock points off EDs or OPs that was not pleasant in the slightest.
Character - 3
Oi mate you thought the story was bad? Wait till you hear about the characters. The MC is a mary sue with zero personality that can single-handedly take down an entire army with a mushroom bow. The doctor character is this nice guy that only cares about the greater good. And to top it all off the main rival is just the doctor's sister whose whole personality is misunderstanding the MC which is the most overused trope that I despise. The only "good" characters I can speak of are the old man that acts as a mentor and the main villain who actually has a personality.
Enjoyment - 4
I enjoyed the insanity at the start but over time this eroded (get it? Cause of the rus- ok I'll stop) into just slogging through each minute of this dull uninteresting show that tries so damn hard to be different but it becomes different to the point of dullness.
Overall - 4
If it gets better (which I have serious doubts about) I may change my rating to a 5 or 6 at best but right now this anime has been the most disappointing anime of the season so far.

Pain all I feel is pain. God of Children is a manga about a young boy Makoto and Yukari and their unconventional childhood romance. It's unconventional because Yukari is a Goddess of the local shrine. If you know anything about Shinto and Japanese religion (if you can call it a religion) then you've probably been exposed to these ageless Gods in control of shrines across Japan. In this particular case only young children and animals can see these ghosts (which is a common trope across various cultures and in literature). The boy goes through trial after trial with his friends and the girl eventually with
...
some hostility and a love story sprouts out after a while. This one-shot has some very particular interest in photography with some of the coolest pictures being shown at the end of the one-shot and the depressing ending which you've probably guessed by now but goddang (ha get it cause she's a- yk what nvm) it, I feel dolorous. Photos play a big part in this manga and honestly they look great, you can tell the author spent a long time making this one-shot look good. If I can knock it for one thing it would be the whole "oh I want to be a child forever" cliche which I did not enjoy.

This Review Contains Spoilers (for the first 3 episodes) Reader Discretion is Advised
When writing a review for the biggest anime of all time, you have to tread carefully. Unless you're me. This season has been pretty underwhelming so far it feels as though I've been watching an Indian drama where the MC takes 6 hours of television time to reach the other side of the house because the aunties talking with her before she can get to the other side. You laugh but that's genuinely how it feels like. Also, I don't know how you go this far and rate the show a 5/10 but
...
that's none of my business.
Story - 7
The story of the season so far has been... a bit disappointing we've just watched Zeke and Eren drag together for the better part of 3 episodes. I will say the action has been quite entertaining to watch, there are some plot points and massive holes we have to reflect on. One of them being why Pieck was allowed to shoot so many times like literally, anyone could've killed her but whatever. Episode 3 is definitely the best of the show so far but that would mean getting into spoilers.
Art - 8
I'm not going to give the art a 9/10 or a 10/10 mainly because this show was pretty rushed the CGI is still noticeable but it is far better animated than the Final Season Part 1. The CGI titans honestly look just as good as the Wit Studio titans though the character designs are noticeably worse.
Sound - 7
The OST so far has been great we get a lot of good boss music and action fighting music unfortunately the OP and ED both suck, which is disappointing because of how good the Season 4 part 1 OP and ED were.
Character - 9
I will give them credit for turning Gabi into this sort of pawn figure willing to do anything for Falco and the Marlyean empire. Obviously having villains you can hate and relate to is very useful in improving the reception of your show. Mikasa and Armin are the same as ever with Armin being the pushover anxiety driven guy and Mikasa being the subservient rook for Eren. Yelena get's a massive role and a lot of screen time for some reason? I don't know if I've ever viewed her as important because she isn't, she can't fight and has no power. I'm pretty numb to the death and emotions because of just the sheer amount of gore in this rip-off zombie show.
Enjoyment - 8
Not much to say here, I enjoyed the season enough to where the 3 episodes felt like a flash to me although that could be just me wanting the series to finally end so I can move on and the rest of the anime community can move on.
Overall - 8
Now an 8/10 may sound good to you but by AOT standards that's a massive downwards spiral from the absolute peak that was Season 3 part 2 (10/10). Honestly it may just be I didn't like the direction it took where oh look we're back in Paradis Island again and fighting the underpowered Marleyeans again. Still AOT is an amazing show and regardless of how bad the ending is going to be we can't ignore the other 100 episodes of intrigue and spectacle we were lucky enough to witness.

Another year of Anime comes to a close and 2021 is finally over, although better than 2020 (at least I went to school and got to spend time with the boys and the rest of my friends). Still not as good as the pre-2020 years (is that what we're calling those days? I hope somebody destroys every wet market in China so this never happens again). You may be wondering why I'm talking about the year? Well dear reader I want to take a moment out of your time and discuss the incredible OP we received this season. Is it better than Gurenge?
...
Honestly, I couldn't tell you if it is, what I can tell you is that the OP is amazing with some hints in there about who our villains are. The OP itself feels very much a celebration of Chinese New Year? Even though it's Japanese, I'm pretty sure their cultures intertwine a lot given the location proximity. Hopefully, I don't get canceled for that comment. This makes sense given the Christmas-themed Taisho special at the end of episode 3 and obviously, New Years' comes after Christmas, I believe this is DS's attempt at trying to gain some hype to overpower Attack on Titan which if they are, they pulled it off. The ED and OST aren't anything too special though they get the job done.
Animation - 10
As for the animation I don't have much to say it's done by ufotable do you need me to say more? They blow pretty much every other anime studio out of the water with the exception of MAPPA (in the current era).
Characters - 5
Every episode is hyped up by the non compos mentis (that's a real word) fans and we got a 46-minute special first episode. If you were a hater of Demon Slayer, even after the movie then I doubt the second season will convince you to fall in love with the show as everything is the same. Although (and this is a massive although) Zenitsu has gotten a lot less annoying compared to the first season, he doesn't bawl nearly as much. Yeah, he's still for the lack of better words: a coward, a pussy, and a crybaby but everything has been dialed down a lot. We see some noticeable and some subtle character growth from each of the characters. The Hashira guy is super flamboyant and has 3 wives which isn’t surprising if any of you guys knew the history of Japan (which some of you haven’t) or pretty much any nation in Asia.
Still my biggest issue with Demon Slayer and something that has remained an issue for quite some time; the characters. Tanjiro is fine but he’s your goody two shoes; “I wanna avenge my family” character that you see in half of the Shonen protagonists. Inosuke is the insane psycho that beats the living hell out of anything that stands in his way and Nezuko is the cute girl used to sell merchandise. And Zenitsu is… bad. I don’t expect every character to have some kind of Shakespearean type of polish to their character. I’m just not invested in any one single character apart from the Tengen Uzui. I'm fully invested in his character and his character design is totémo yuh huh deshita (excellent). Even the red and green painted nails work somehow.
Story - 7
The story isn’t anything to write home about though it is interesting enough to keep me invested. It’s been a while since an anime has kept my attention and this season of Demon Slayer isn't incredible. This isn't an anime trying to be the next Code Geass, Steins; Gate or Re; Zero it's not one of those sophisticated stories in which you can find yourself losing 10 hours of your life watching 26 episodes in one sitting. It's alright in the story department and a lot more interesting than My Hero Academia but that isn't a high bar to overcome.
Enjoyment - 9
I haven’t read the manga so I’m eagerly awaiting each coming Sunday. This season appears to be slightly worse than the first season which isn’t uncommon in Shonen action series so don’t freak out on me.
Overall - 8 (rounded down from an average of 8.4)
It’s a little early to be making a review so in fairness to both the show and the person reading this I will come back and add a couple of paragraphs or maybe I will have changed my opinion and the show ends up being hot garbage who knows? Though I’ll be signing Demon Slayer’s praises to the day I die, the show doesn’t have enough deeper meanings or unique attributes (apart from the art style) from your other generic Shonen Jump animes to justify a 10 and as the great Anime Man once said: “Reserve your 10s for only the anime where you love so much you can overlook any fault.” I think that’s something Joey said. though I don’t have enough time on my hands to show you which specific “Reviewing MAL lists” video he said it in. Wow, I got sidetracked. Hopefully, I didn’t scare you off like all those demons in the show… See what I did there? Pardon my wisecrack the demons aren't scary at all; this is a Shonen show after all.

So instead of separating the sexes why not just make some people infertile (namely the poor)? This manga makes no damn sense what gain could you get from separating the sexes into different sections. You have these metropolis but you can't figure out how to make some people infertile so men and women can live together in the same bubble? So much of this manga makes no sense to me you could tell this was 19 year old Kentaro trying to think of something fantasy wise I would've loved to have seen Kentaro do a scifi cyberpunk manga but sadly that will never come to

Tsukimi no Soba is a very interesting manga that has great ideas but ultimately fails due to a lack of good character design, art, and popularity. There's not much to actually dissect in the first chapter the generic boy meets girl plot is alright but then we see he's the son of a restaurant owner and delivers food to local homes (gee where have I seen that before). Honestly, it got pretty boring and I wasn't that entertained I feel if it had better art and if the main girl wasn't a loli 50% of the time it would be better. On a side note
...
her ability to change into an 18-year-old version of herself may have been inspired by something else which eventually inspired Nezuko's power which is pretty cool. Overall I don't recommend reading this one-shot it's among Shonen Jump's lowest toer manga and it just falls into mediocrity from the very first page. The story was pretty enticing but not enough to save the manga.

Story - 2
Story what story? It's just Mirai Nikki with power ranger suits (which might I add look horrendous).
Art - 6
The art was good but that couldn't save the anime. The character designs gave my eyes a very bad time.
Sound - 10
Probably the only reason I came back for 6 episodes. The OP and ED both slap and the apocalyptic music was beautifully tuned in, I'm getting the music from the anime.
Character - 1
...
Loli fairies and a guy that refuses to kill IN A DEATH GAME, what more do you want me to say?
Enjoyment- 4
I may have enjoyed how terrible the show was at times.
Overall - 3
Save your time, save your eyes this anime isn't worth your time that's why I spent so little time making this review and why I kept it short. So you can escape as soon as possible. The Death Note creators struck gold with the title and Bakuman but Platinum End is a swing and a miss. I should've listened to the manga readers who tried to warn us.
