Due to childhood occurrences the protagonist wants "revenge" on the girl. A typical childhood fight grows into something more as the characters are now in HS. Both manga are quiet unique in these aspects.

Both Main Protagonists had experienced a dark past involving their childhood friend (which was a girl). Then, they met again in highschool (In this case, the childhood friends in Watari-kun remember each other. While in Masamune-kun it's only one sided). The difference is, while Watari-kun is trying to resolve what happened in the past, Masamune-kun is trying to gets his revenge on his childhood friend. Well, I haven't read many chapters of Masamune-kun, but I have finished the Anime adaptation. So I can say that both series give a similar feeling.

Plots are very similar as the main characters, due to bullying try, to get revenge by making the other half fall in love with them.

The male protagonist in these manga were hurt by girls in the past to such an extent that the experience severely affected their lives. Now (at the start of manga), they seek to conquer their fears by making girls fall for them. (the setting is highschool for Masamune-kun; college for minamoto-kun)

When there is always a model student you want to confessed with and ended up a failure... one must not underestimate their beauty cause you're way out of her league.. Since this manga focus much more than revenge itself for getting some attention... but had a similarities of an image which had a same concept where a fateful encounter between the two happens...

Not much resemblance except this is both a Harem. I recommend this because the story is very good where Uryuu who is an atheist is thrown out of his house behind the temple and asked to marry one of the 3 shrine maidens and become the heir of the shrine.

Both Main character were previously fat and were mocked but managed to improve their appearance and face the girl who did that to them previously

Nisekoi and Masamune-kun no Revenge are very similar plots. While Nisekoi is much longer and involves a few more rivals to the waifu wars, in principle, they are doing the same thing. Nisekoi popularized this formula for harem manga: introduce a MC who knew the girl during childhood, have them meet again in high school, but add mystery about who the girl is or introduce rival girls to slow down the real relationship. In short, if you read one of these manga and are desperate for something similar, read the other one. If you hated the premise of one of these, stay far away from  read more

The MC in Masamune-Kun no Revenge also has a hidden side to himself. While projecting him as a typical gentleman to everyone around him,he is in truth a foul mouthed scheming creep similar to Amatsuyu Kisaragi. Though this manga mostly focuses on a single girl and how the mc deals with her the two manga share a great similarity in terms of setting and character development. If you liked one you will definitely like the other.

same situation, the main guy has been rejected due to the superficiality, stupidity, and cockiness of all girls and ends up being traumatized by it. He then works hard and becomes the most handsome and superficially good looking guy to fit the superficial tastes of modern day women. Basically both stories are all about being traumatized then becoming handsome to get all the girls, except here it is shoujo. However, they are both spoken through the male protagonists view.

Just the MC trying to take revenge on a girl who they once loved so much. There a girl who is willing to help the MC with his revenge. The other similarities is kinda a (spoiler). Find out by reading these two revenge plotting Male protagonist.

The main character is pretty much similare to this one, (he is popular even tough we can see he is not really that good) , and like this manga, there is a girl that doesn't have any interest on him.

Both has protagonists who worked to improve himself.

Both these series have romance elements and an interesting story so far. They also both center around popularity and other people's impressions of the main character. The main characters are very self conscious.
