Both of these titles follow couples who maintain a sexual relationship without involving any romantic emotions.

2.0 or Should I'd say Kuzu no Honkai... with lesser... unrequited love... with brighten light emotion and subplot scenario which contains... affection you truly reciprocate one sided relationships.

People who are empty inside trying to have relationships but end up in something much worse. The depiction of the bleak sex in these two is outstanding, it's realistic and artistic without getting pornographic, having the sexual relationships as a mean of character development. Also, both titles feature a main character who engage in a lesbian relationship without any "can't do it with a girl" hesitation, heck none of the characters engage in any relationship with any moral qualms, I love it.

reading Kuzu no Honkai reminds me of Aku no Hana. Both series is somewhat psychological. As the stories keep progress, there are some pretty twisted things (it's up to readers to decide whether those twists are good or bad)

Two stories where characters struggle with relationships and the meaning and feelings associated with them.

The whole time reading Kuzo no Honkai, it reminded me of Henshin soo much. Only thing is Henshin is the more extreme, more vile and more dirty than Kuzu no Honkai. Kuzu no Honkai is the clean version. So, both girls kind of go through the same situation, ignore their conscience and life continues to be harsh on them due to their decision makings with boys and relationships. The difference between these stories is that Hanabi from Kuzo learned from her mistakes and moves forward no matter how hard it was for herself, and the protagonist from Henshin did not and her world crumbled before her. Both are based on the theme that the protagonist loves a person who already loves/is in relationship with someone else. In Tatoe Todokanu Ito da toshitemo: a girl loves her childhood friend who married her brother. In Kuzu no Honkai: a girl loves her childhood friend who became a teacher at the school she attends and fell in love with another teacher (same sex relationship also appears here).

Miserable people making bad decisions. Although kuzu no honkai is longer and has more of those twisted relationships.

not exactly the same, since Tsumi no Kai is way lewder in every way. Also, it does not focus on romance/love, rather it focuses on the meaning of "bdsm", but there is romance tho. Yes, it's a borderline hentai

Relationships between people, bunch of cheating, and similar level of ecchi

Both contains messed up views towards "love", the only thing that is different is that Happy Sugar Life is a lot more violent and dark which shows how love can sometimes result to physical altercations/abuse while Kuzo No Honkai contains mental and psychological abuse which is a lot different from the physical ones but also deals a great amount of damage. These manga shows the brutal truth that love is a very violent thing.

Romance Mangas that can change your perception of love.

Both manga mainly revolve around teenagers struggling with love and sexuality.

Love is not necessarily a straight line and sex does not help, or ... it does? Characters are dealing with their feelings or lack of feelings, with honesty or lack of honesty, and sex is a component of the story. Warning though, Velvet Kiss is almost Hentai and the premise is a bit over-the-top.

Even if Scum's Wish is much more of everything, Tokyo DTED really runs in the same veins. Both main characters have people they can't get over, which leads them on a journey of growing up, understanding yourself and the world, meeting people and (try to) have lots of sex.

Characters pretending to be in a relationship to fulfill their wishes. Some to experience new things and others just for their own pleasure. They are both a mix of drama with romance.

If you took the cast from Kuzu no Honkai, then added 1 full bottle of emotional instability and one full bottle of rape, then you’d have something close to Sensei no Shiroi Uso. Is it a bad thing? I can’t say.

Two titles with a raw story, that deal with the worst part of their characters personalities. They are detestable, but still relatable.
reportRecommended by Numero33
Also talks about love and has smutty scenes.
reportRecommended by blepful
both feature characters with personalities described as 'detestable' and 'ugly'
