Bokura no hentai is like the junior version of himegoto, with a strong focus on transexuality. The characters are younger but have just the same serious issues, so it's actually one step darker. It's classified as shounen ai but I don't really find it trying to be arousing at all. Both have rather a slight trigger warning to them.

People who are empty inside trying to have relationships but end up in something much worse. The depiction of the bleak sex in these two is outstanding, it's realistic and artistic without getting pornographic, having the sexual relationships as a mean of character development. Also, both titles feature a main character who engage in a lesbian relationship without any "can't do it with a girl" hesitation, heck none of the characters engage in any relationship with any moral qualms, I love it.

Love triangle. Hermaphroditism. Family problems. psychological problems.

The main character in both mangas have a male friend that is a cross dresser and they end up falling inlove with them. They both have a low self esteem.

Himegoto is like the grown-up version of Hourou Musuko. Both contain people struggling with their own gender identities, though Hourou is a bit lighter and more childish.

Insecure people with codependency issues get stuck in bad relationships of sexual violence while looking for themselves. Yes, it is that bad (meaning good).

So if Himegoto JKSS took place in middle school. And after a few chapters went completely crazy. And you thought you could stomach it but couldn't.

Both are depressing works that primarily feature mental health issues, psychological scars, and interpersonal relationships at the forefront.

Same author and quality work. Both manga tackle young romance in different ways. Difference is, one has a heavier mood and darker subject matter than the other.

Both deal with characters that have that have destructive, co-dependent relationships based on lies, manipulations, and infidelities with characters having complicated love–hate feelings to each other and frequent, explicit sex scenes and rape.

Both deal with toxic, co-dependent relationships, cross-dressing, gender-dysphoria , jealousy, lies, rape, and infidelity, though Aki-Sora is definitely more light-hearted at many times than Zyuukyusai no Seihuku Both also feature fairly explicit sex-scenes.

Both deal with destructive, co-dependent relationships and psychologically complicated characters with dark and cheerful sides and a lot of sexual molestation between friends and lovers. Zyuukyuusai no Seihuku is definitely the darker one of the two whereas Kodomo no Zikan is more lighthearted, and cuter.

Love polygons that makes your head spin! Everyone loves everyone except for when it's mutual. Drama is ensured.

If the characters from Shishunki Bitter Change had lots and lots of sex, and only got more miserable because of it, they'd sooner or later show up in Himegoto. Himegoto has turned really dark lately, but the basic premise in both these mangas are people with insecure gender (and what's else) identities who's trying to sort stuff out.

While himegoto is focusing on a group of people and their issues with finding themselves through exploration of sexuality and... beyond, yubisaki have a very strong focus on one MC. While the cast in himegoto are older which is a bit refreshing, less teenage angst and more mature angst (whoho!) both have really great character development and story. Both are way beyond the "oh no I've turned into a woman and my best friend thinks I'm sexy" type of GB manga.

Both mangas talk about human relationship, appearance, how much do you care about other people thinks about you, society, all this with a lot of psychological context. Homunculus even have an arc involving gender issues.

Both main character's dress manly and act like boys. They also both have a friend who is male (that they love) and cross dresses.

HJNS is the logical continuation of Fukigen Cinderella, and really even if Fukigen Cinderella is building up nicely until the horrible axing, I like how HJNS focuses on the relationships (like a josei manga lol) rather that trying to add adventure into the mix. Still they're really similar, in Fukigen Cinderella you've got three insane girls and one boy that magically turns into a girl, in HJNS you've got three insane girls where one can't decide which gender she prefers and one who's cross dressing (which is just as magical ^_−☆). I really wish there were at least 10 volumes of Fukigen Cinderella though, with  read more

Two coming of age stories where sex is a plot device rather than porn. They’re pretty different (Himegoto is much darker) but they both feature solid characters that’ll grow on you.

Both mangas deal with taboos and secrets shared by a group of characters, creating abusive and disturbing relationships betweent them.

Both mangas have crossdressing/trans characters and also disturbing bonds between its main characters.

The literature featuring love polygons between girls and traps is surprisingly sparse. If you want to travel down this road, this is where you've got to make a decision; on one side, the gritty Himegoto with its wounded characters and (seemingly) realistic plot. On the other side, Yuri na Watashi, which is more of a trapsploitation flick than anything else, where the plot basically feature a girl who ends up kissing people lewdly and a trap who'll turn into a girl if he doesn't kiss his childhood love who doesn't want to but yet does it.
