Ayu Mayu is an Ecchi, Romantic, Comedy that sadly contains every Rom/Com cliché imaginable but it makes it work, with incredibly wacky comedy and nicely done romance.
The focus of this wacky romantic comedy is an orphaned boy named Yousuke who dreams of reuniting his long lost little sister. After years of searching he finally reaches his goal however he runs into a major obstacle… there seem to be 2 girls who have the potential of being his little (Ayu & Mayu) and he has no way to determine which one is his sister. So there you have it; the entire story is basically about Yousuke

“For my imouto!” - Toyokawa Yousuke
Similar to Yomeiro-Choice and especially Shinshi (Gentleman) na Meets Girl, this manga is an extremely funny romantic comedy. Despite being cut too short, Ayu Mayu wraps up loose ends pretty well. There were some things that could have been done better, but the author is excused. However, the premise is exciting, and the story does not get dull, as surprises appear, and emotions develop. The story revolves around Toyokawa Yousuke, a poor student who got separated from his little sister when he was a kid. Now that he is in high school, he decides to go look for her, and understands ... Jul 28, 2010
Story:
Ayu Mayu is a really good quick-read ecchi/comedy/romance manga, in which the main character Yousuke tries to find his long separated little sister, but faces many obstacles along the way. (including his growing taboo relationship with his sisters, the return of a girl who loved him since childhood, and even a ghost cat...in addition to his normal problems which he causes for himself). But The story isnt a really serious one, you wont feel too emotional from reading it, and it is short and doesnt drag on for too long. You will enjoy it if you are looking for a calm, funny romance manga with some ... Nov 9, 2011
Yousuke after many years finds out that his sister is living in a mansion. When he visits he finds out that there are 2 of them, both from the same orphanage and both have a brother. Which one could be his real sister?
Story: This a really short romantic, ecchi, comedy, manga. The plot isn't really that well developed, but it compensates with much funny moments. It is probably filled with every single corny/cliche harem, ecchi, and comedy scene possible, but who knows, someone might beat it one day. Overall this manga is just filled with funny scenes that just probably exaggerates like crazy, but this is ... Nov 23, 2021
Ayu Mayu is one of my childhood favorite manga. It's a romantic comedy with a very very simple (cliche) plot but it's very entertaining to read.
Usually, Japanese authors seem to love cliffhanging ending, leaving a hole in the readers' heart, or simply mess up the ending to piss the readers off, but Ayu Mayu went all the way to the end, perfectly completed the story. The protagonists actually slept together and thus the ending feel completed. It also hadn't been dragged on and on like 30+ volumes, like the other harem manga. You can finish the whole story within a day. The art style is mediocre but ... Nov 14, 2018
This manga starts off pretty slow, with most of the humor being focused around the protagonist being incompetent and hated. It then transitions to actually caring about the main mystery, which pushes the plot forward causes the story to pick up tremendously. The main character begins to act in a way that is more appealing, and the humor also improves. However, they decide to attempt to sweep the solving of the mystery under the rug, and go back to the previous status quo of not knowing who the sister is in order to keep the story going rather than end it. This reversal felt pretty
