The second half of the anime was a dumpster fire. The protagonist became less and less likable and I actually wanted the "School Day" ending to be triggered so bad.
The guy is a sad excuse of a human being. I felt bad for Rui but then I changed my mind to "It's a good thing she doesn't have to deal with this psychotic loser anymore".
This story might be better without Hina at all. I heard another manga about an ex-girlfriend becoming stepsister is getting an anime adaptation and someone mentioned this dumpster fire so unfortunately I decided to watch it. I hardly rate anything lower

Ayu Mayu is one of my childhood favorite manga. It's a romantic comedy with a very very simple (cliche) plot but it's very entertaining to read.
Usually, Japanese authors seem to love cliffhanging ending, leaving a hole in the readers' heart, or simply mess up the ending to piss the readers off, but Ayu Mayu went all the way to the end, perfectly completed the story. The protagonists actually slept together and thus the ending feel completed. It also hadn't been dragged on and on like 30+ volumes, like the other harem manga. You can finish the whole story within a day. The art style is mediocre but ... Feb 3, 2021
Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi

add
As a big fan of the manga and the art style of Shiokonbu, I had high expectation from this anime adaptation and it delivered.
I've read several manga with similar plot and I believe Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi is among the best of this "revenge fantasy" sub-genre. The art and music are awesome. The girl characters are attractive. The protagonist is likable. Watching it makes me want more anime like this one. The first episode was kind of a rush and didn't explain much as to why the protagonist holds a big grudge on the other characters. People who didn't read the light novel and/or manga before ... What the heck is this? I love the Isekai genre but this one is just so boring and meaningless.
The plot is like a mix of stuffs borrowed from several other Isekai stories before it except it's much worse and less entertaining. The worst part of this show is the characters. They're all good and one dimensional people. The protagonist is a good kid, and everybody he met is all good and willing to help him. Not a single bad guy shows up in all 8 episodes that I watched. The show is also uneventful, almost nothing happens at all in the entire story. The protagonist just uses ... May 22, 2020
This is almost a hentai manga without actual sex. The art style and the characters are great. The story is not perfect but easy to get into.
The main character is part of a love triangle with two big ass, thick tights sexy girls. All three of them are perverts and that's why I like them. It's nothing like the usual love comedy manga. If you share their fetish, this manga is a must-read. The author/illustrator used to be a hentai mangaka, but to be honest, I've never liked his previous works. This "Ureshon!" came out of nowhere and it's being good in my opinion. Be careful if you ... Mar 16, 2020
Very very very boring show. This is like a mix between 3-4 other anime that came before it, bringing absolutely nothing new to its genre, and even managed to do worse than those who came before.
First of all, being in a video game means there's zero possibility that the characters will get hurt or die. It's just like we're watching other people play an MMO. Hell, even watching people play MMO on Youtube would be more entertaining than watching this anime. These characters are just playing the game with no purpose. They just play it with friends, with characters who are good towards each other, no ... Feb 9, 2020
Double Hard
(Manga)
add
This is one of the hidden gems of early 90's. Double Hard is a rare manga in the big pool of high school gangster mangas that you don't have to force yourself to read through with a stupid lame protagonist. Hayami Daiki and Takayama Jin are a pair of cool protagonists with good taste, the way they dress, talk, act, and everything are really cool.
Hayami just came back from studying abroad in California, while Takayama was trained by American soldiers in Yokohama. They are not your usual high school gangsta manga protagonists, in fact they don't like gangsters and always want to kick their asses. Think ... Feb 7, 2020
Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo

The manga is like a 10/10 masterpiece, but this anime adaptation was rushed to make it fit into 12 episodes.
For the example, the scene where Odagiri sees Yamada & Shiraishi kiss, the anime was rushed and didn't give the scene enough time to make the viewers feel like it's a big heartbreaking moment for Odagiri (like how it was in the manga). If you're about to start watching this, I recommend you to read the manga first, and then comeback to watch the anime as a bonus. Don't ruin your own experience by watching the anime first. I'd love to see a second season though. Feb 7, 2020
Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu

This spin-off is just a waste of time for the creators and for the fans. I get it that there are fans who like Nagato, so she got this spin-off, but THIS Nagato is not even the same character that people like. She doesn't have the same personality. This Nagato is just a boring dandere type that has no charm of the original Nagato.
And when Haruhi appears on the show, the dandere Nagato got overshadowed completely. So this spin-off has no value to the fans of Nagato, and also is a waste of time for the fans of the Haruhi series in general. |
