"Ore monogatari!Another shoujo manga, huh?" Well, that's what I guessed you would think.
And yes, you're wrong. One monogatari isn't your typical shoujo manga where the female character falls in love with someone super-handsome,smart and so on. NO! This is a must-read for all the manga-lovers, no matter what genre you like. You'll fall in love with the story, believe me.

everything from the first chapter got me hooked until the last. it was a nice closure though wanting for more it kinds of comfort you knowing that those three wonderful characters will be fine.
first and foremost the lack of toxic masculinity despite the very very masculine mc is what got me, the plot revolves on how he respects his girlfriend that he almost tiptoes around his own girlfriend but despite that this manga shows the most important thing about relationships: COMMUNICATION. May it be an old relationship or a very very new one, as long as you communicate it will be okay. and speaking of relationships, nothing ... Dec 8, 2014
You might already have noticed that Ore Monogatari is not your common shoujo manga, and I would like to give a more detailed review so that more people starts reading this despite the hideous face on the cover. Believe me, this manga is really something!
Ore Monogatari is a shoujo comedy that fits most people's tastes, maybe because it's not like anything else you've read. However, if you're struggling with the idea of a gorilla looking protagonist, you could need some time to consider. That shouldn't be too much of a bother, though, because Takeo is hilarious. This manga shows that looks really doesn't matter. Storywise Oregatari focuses ... May 8, 2018
So, I randomly watched the anime and enjoyed it so much I needed more... I'll say something similar to what I said about the anime. This isn't for everyone. You won't find much suspense or drama here, in the way that the genre is normally known for. That being said, this is a wonderful story and as a hopeless romantic, I am just fucking thrilled. I've never seen a story like this anywhere in this medium. Romance storys generally are dangled in front of the viewer with the cathartic coupling occurring at the very end or even not at

Sincerely, one of the best romance series I read, it has comedy, some drama here and there, and tons of moments to tug your heart on a squezee from the absolute cuteness of the situation.
I remember I caught the anime first and totally fell in love with Takeo. I have a soft spot for gentle characters and HUGE characters, so Takeo Gouda easily became my favorite, with flaws and all, that made me love him more, and after finishing the anime, I HAD to finish this story in the manga, and got it on hold a couple of years 'cause the manga app I had ... Before going into an analysis, I've got to say right now: This has been one of the most enjoyable (if not THE most) mangas/anime that I have read in a long time. Throughout the whole thing I was laughing and grinning like an idiot and I have a tough sense of humor. Even the first episode of the anime has got me hooked and I eagerly await the next. If you enjoy light hearted, no drama/strings attatched romance, definitely try this one out.
Story. While the story remains a straight forward boy meets girl scenario, the continued play on the characters backgrounds and personalities/appearance makes a easy ... Jun 26, 2023
Ore Monogatari is desperately sincere in its romance to the point of idealism. Its for that very same reason, though, that I kind of love it? The overly schmaltzy back and forth between Takeo and Yamato can border on the tired side in those first ten chapters, I’ll admit – But the moment conflicts that potentially put their relationship on the rocks (at least from the characters perspective) start to involve themselves in the form of short storylines, the depth of the series really starts to show it’s hand and reading through becomes that much more engaging.
In many many ways Takeo is the perfect ... Feb 22, 2023
Sweet....sometimes too sweet but isn't that a hallmark of such a series. if it wasn't for its moments of character introspection and development it would have been like any other run-of-mill shoujo manga.
other than the main relationship between Takeo and Rinko, the one that always captivated me was that of Takeo and Makoto. one will wish to have a friend like them in real life yet one must realize too that one needs to be like them to have that privilege. where one would find a flaw in the series is towards the latter half one can see the story stalling and various subplots seemingly falling ... Overall this is a very enjoyable slice of life manga. Nothing overly dramatic ever happens but I never really felt bored while reading, although the last few volumes did have some draggy chapters.
While this a romantic shojo manga, my favourite aspect of this manga was the friendship between Suna and Takeo. Don't get me wrong though Yamato is cute and the romance between her and Takeo is heartwarming. The art style is really pretty and detailed and fits the story really well. The author and the artist made an awesome team creating this manga. I recommend this manga to those who like non angsty stories a ... |
