Synopsis

Demons will grant any human one wish in exchange for their soul. Anzam Nia, an ambitious demon, has fallen to the bottom of the chart, having collected zero souls. After being kicked out to earth by the police, he found himself in Japan, in search of a human contractor in order to get back home. Then he crosses his way with a lonely little girl, who is convinced he is an angel sent from Heaven and insists that he grant her wish and form a contract with her, knowing it will take away her life? Anzam Nia's first contract is formed, and her wish is... for them to get married?! So starts the blissful married life of this adorable and idiotic couple. A marriage of different races, ages and personalities will now commence!

tl;dr: A short and sweet manga that feels like it’s too short.

This manga is one heavily centered around the strange relationship that comes about as a result of an orphan girl named Uika marrying a demon named Anzamnia. It was quite a bit more wholesome and adorable than I expected. Uika is an incredibly good person but due to her past she has a hard time forming family like connections with others and her character arc involves overcoming that through spending time with Anzamnia. Anzamnia is a demon that does his best to be evil by being a jerk, but he’s a pretty awful demon ... in that deep down he’s also a pretty good person, and his character arc involves becoming more in tune with his true self as a result of interacting with and coming to care about Uika. The relationship development of the two comes about alongside these character arcs and was also a lot cuter than I thought it would be. All of this is incredibly simple, but along with all the fluffy moments and light comedy it was quite enjoyable to read through.

The weakness in this manga arises more from what it doesn’t contain than what it does contain. I feel that it’s very likely that this manga was axed which is pretty disappointing for a number of reasons. The first reason is simply that I would have loved more of the manga and to see the relationship between Uika and Anzamnia grow beyond what was shown and see where it would eventually lead. I think a time skip epilogue at the end of the manga as is would have definitely helped in this regard, but something more substantial than that would have been even better. The second reason is that beyond the relationship between Uika and Anzamnia, it felt like it touched on a lot of things that it could have expanded on but wasn’t able to. These primarily include topics still centered around the main couple, such as the effects that Uika’s inherent and unfiltered goodness have on others beyond just Anzamnia or the background of Anzamnia and his complex relationship with both demons and angels, but it would also offer the opportunity to do more with the side characters that felt pretty underdeveloped. The last reason is that the ending, by which I mean the last few chapters, is incredibly rushed. From a broad sense it’s written pretty well with some really strong emotional beats so it does do a lot really well. But it also feels like it’s trying to go through a lot of events incredibly quickly and as a result it doesn’t give them as much time as they deserve. It also doesn’t complete resolve everything, leaving some key aspects still uncertain. As such, the final impression it leaves is pretty mixed, being satisfying in some ways but not in others. Thus, the manga is quite good, but also somewhat disappointing.

The art was okay, in that it works well enough with the story and atmosphere such that it never feels like it’s detracting from it, but it also never really looks all that great either. The designs were decent enough but also never really felt like they stood out.

In the end i'm kind of sad that this was such a short story of only 16 chapters.

The story itself is pretty funny & comedic. I actually enjoy just about every character in this. The Priest in this is someone that i would usually hate in stories but i found myself to actually think he's not that bad of a person.

I do have a couple complaints though.

One of the complaints being near the end of the story. The Male MC is going about trying to get the Girl MC to understand not to waste her wishes on small and useless things.

I really enjoyed the story :D. It is cute and adorable as well as the art. I like how the author portrayed the reactions of the characters. Their outfits, for me, are pretty fashionable xD. It is very humorous and kinda sad at the same time because of the background of our main characters. The characters are very likeable. Anzam, our hero of the story is not your typical "flawless" character. While Uika, our main heroine is sweet, gentle, kind and knows how to make sweets which made our "demon" hero attracted to her.
