"Hana to Alice: Satsujin Jiken" Greatest attraction is also probably one of the greatest distractions.
I'm talking about the Animation. I think cause I'm not sure, But the Animation is made in CGI. At first, this would be a massive negative for me and If I had known that before watching then I probably would've not watched it at the time.
The animation has an artistic look to it. It looks like it was made with a Paintbrush and at first, I actually thought it was. It's an interesting look. The Camera also tends to be active and we don't get boring still shots.
The
...
world design is actually interesting as it isn't every generic world we see in Anime. The House actually looks lived in and the School looks more like a place of learning.
I'm not a big fan of the Classmates. It's kind of weird and maybe it's just me or cause of a culture difference. But I would play along with some delusion that the spirit of some boy is trapped in his desk. I especially wouldn't go about trying to grab some new transfer student to play along with these delusions.
The relationship between the MC and Hana is nice. I found myself smiling, to say the least.
Overall this is an interesting and fun show.

So after my initial review was removed for updating it. I've decided to come back and post another review that is, for the most part, saying what my initial review said but worded differently.
The mediocre reviews I feel don't properly represent the show. I feel a lot of people were put off with the less than stellar animation.
The characters I like. They're interesting in their own way and I feel they don't really copy other characters.
Like I said earlier. The animation isn't the greatest. But I am easily able to overlook it and find myself more interested in the story.
The show has some Yuri
...
themes going on and it is kind of nice. It's different then the Fluff-Yuri shows we've seen in the past.
The show has two major things going for it. The Story and Characters.
The show manages a decent middle line of not having the Revelations be to Earth shattering and just enough to keep me hooked. Some of the story reveals are interesting like the Mothers of the characters. The reveal of one of the characters we'eve been getting glimpses of throughout is actually the mother of one of the MC's is really nice.
The cast of Female characters are nice and it'd be a bit tough for me to say who I disliked the most. I tended to feel they all had their place in the story.
The action can be lacking at times and it's kind of an issue when your show is based on action. But I found that I paid little attention to that and more of the Story.
The Music I find to be interesting.
I'd recommend watching if you have any interest in these types of shows.

Oh, this story annoys me. The story really just started picking up and then I run out of chapters to read. Imagine being in a Bullet Train going 200mph and suddenly just stopping. That an equivalent feeling and isn't exaggerating at all...
It's kind of weird at first because I wasn't expecting this to involve Time Travel. It's kind of an interesting scenario. I do find the two contrasting personalities to be interesting.
The Otaku girl is nice. I don't like her brother even though we've seen so little of him. I just wish it was a girl at most. I like the idea of the Otaku
...
girl having a little sister and their relationship is very distant and they rarely see or talk to each other. I do wish we got a long time of seeing the Otaku girl being a loner at school and seeing people talk bad about her. It makes it more interesting when a new Popular girl starts standing up for her.
The Time Traveling girl is interesting. She hasn't gotten a chance to shine by herself. I hope she does in the future. It is interesting to me that the story doesn't just have her be some cool tomboy character that doesn't care about the fact that she's into other girls like I see with most Yuri stories. It's kind of nice she's just a really energetic girl that even herself was confused about her feelings for the MC.
Overall I hope for more from this story and hope it gets a bigger audience. It's really just a nice story.

I was wanting to wait till the 4th episode so I have a better understanding of what's happening. 4th Episode just aired and I'm still lost on the purpose. All I know is that It's fucking Magical!
Edit 8/5/18 3: 08:59 AM: My original review was taken down cause the episode count at the time was only two. In the time I've been waiting to repost this and make some minor adjustments. I've started watching another show that has a striking resemblance in a couple regards. I'm talking about "Revolutionary Girl Utena"
It might be just me but the two shows seem alike. Obviously compared to
...
the 90's or 80's of when "Revolutionary Gir Utena" Was released, Then this show is better in regards to the story, Animation and doesn't have as many annoying cliches you find. The fight scenes with swords in both shows is what I think really sells it for me that these are kind of similar.
The animation is fluid the characters dance nice and the art style is better then what I'd expect.
The singing is good and the singers tend to match the original voice actor ( I don't know if its the voice actor singing or someone else entirely)
The characters all have nice designs and besides one girl whose name Is like Banana for some reason, The entire cast of girls has their own unique design.
I love the relationship between Karen and her roommate. I even love the relationship between Karen and her childhood friend even more. I really like that the story isn't treating us the audience like adults and not just telling us everything.
It doesn't just go and have a character be like " We were childhood friends" Or " See this entire story is because of X" We the Audience is left guessing in a nice way.
Once the girls get onto the stage. It's really nice watching them fight and dance. I do wish we got long drawn out scenes of them fighting and dancing.
I also like that this isn't some dumb Battle Royal. If the girls were fighting to the death or who got kicked out of the school, Then I would get kind of annoyed.
This will be the 4th time I've rated a show with a 9/10 rating this season. I may even put it higher if the show continues to be great. This is defiantly my favorite of the entire season.
I'll update my review in the future and see if anything's changed about it. It's overall an awesome and fun show. This is defiantly my favorite of this Anime season.

I dropped this. There is a lot wrong in the short 5 chapters I read of it. I thought the description sounded interesting so I put this story on priority to read soon.
The Main character isn't all that likable. It's kind of annoying how she still loves this dude. All he's been to her is annoying and even after he kills her, She still has some weird hard-on for him. Would've been more interesting without the romance IMO. She also did something annoying. She was put into the body of a girl. The girl looked really pretty and nice. Then she decides to go cut
...
her hair immediately. Making her look exactly the same as she previously did. Making it so there is no distinction between them and making her character model look all the worse. Hell, The story just straight up kills this chick and the MC doesn't even acknowledge it.
The art can look decent at times but we get some close-ups of characters and they tend to look dumb.
The story could've been nice. Just that the dumb MC and them having some bad romance kind of ruined.
Overall it's more of a disappointment.

I read the translated manga for this some months back. I found it to be a weird but slightly enjoyable manga.
I then find out that this is gonna get an Anime adaptation and I was mostly just confused as to why. It just doesn't seem like an actual thing you'd expect in an anime form. I got to admit, I'm curious as to how embarrassed the voice actors could've been.
The Music I won't lie Is actually pretty good in my opinion. I'd hope so with this being a show about Idols.
Now probably one of the biggest turn-offs for people is the animation. Most shows I've
...
watched aren't really that badly animated. But this takes the WR for the worst animated show that I can remember. I will admit that with a constrained budget that they did do some honestly nice visuals at times that you don't really see.
The Audio tends to not be in sync with the animation of the lips and we get a good amount of still images.
The thing I disliked the most in the Manga was that it's kind of depressing with these people always having to do what the Boss wants. I still feel bad for them even in anime form. Episode 2 is where the story got caught up with the manga, So I have no idea what's gonna happen now.
The voice acting at least from the "Girls" is actually pretty good if I am, to be honest. We did get a quick scene in episode 2. It's a still image of one of the "Girls" Mother. The voice we got just didn't match the look of the mom at all.
I do also wish we got these characters in a different show. I like the models/design of the "Girls" I'd love if they were used in a different anime and don't have them be originally boys with their balls chopped off. I like the personalities and can see them in a school setting with the entire school knowing them as the weird duo. You have the very girly girl, The Leader and the Tomboy. I'd imagine they'd be discount School Idols.

The story does remind me of "Gabriel Dropout" I liked Gabriel Dropout. It was fun but I didn't like how the MC in that turned into a slob and rude being when she used to be an Honor student.
I like the characters and find their Voice Acting, Designs and Personalities all good and interesting.
Jashin Is a good character. I like her personality and design. I find it weird that for some reason she doesn't appear to have boobs. I also thought that Snake-Women should have big boobs. It just is what I've always seen from those characters. I do like that she didn't use to
...
have some sweet and charming personality but became a slob and rude like what Happened in " Gabriel Dropout"
Medusa is probably my favorite or up there. I always like personalities like hers and I love her character design the most of all the characters. I do like the small amount of Yuri themed tensions between Jashin and Medusa.
Yurine surprised me in the fact that I didn't find her to be annoying. I can easily see her personality to be obnoxious and her always beating Up Jashin could get bad if it wasn't done well. I also have had bad experiences with people wearing eye patches ( I.e Chuunibyou, I didn't like that show) So I'm happy that I actually like her.
Pekora I like. I do feel bad for her though. By the end of the show, I'm wanting her to have found her Halo and return to heaven. Maybe have her get a task of returning to Earth and "Watching" The group. I also love the idea that God is up there in heaven watching a Tv laughing while all the stuff in the show happens.
The cowgirl ( I can't remember her name) Might be interesting. But we've gotten so little of her that it's hard to even judge her character at this point.
The animation is also pretty good and has its own appeal to it.
Overall this is a fun show and as of now, It's my favorite show of the season. Might have to do with me not being fully caught up on my shows and not being able to watch much of them/

I'd say this is more impressive than anything. They managed to make a film about Godzilla into a snore fest. Prepare for massive spoilers if your a massive Masochist and are gonna watch this despite the warnings.
~Spoilers~
This was my first time watching a Godzilla film made by Japanese. So it might be me and my overly high expectations but I was expecting something decent. It was so much worse and I actually enjoy that shitty '98 film Godzilla more than this.
At least with '98 Godzilla, there wasn't just an unending feeling of boredom. I am able to sit down and watch that film while
...
laughing at how bad it is and some of the scenes were actually pretty decent. But this Godzilla film is just boring.
Takes 53 minutes of this 1Hour 30Minute film to actually see Godzilla. Hell, That estimate might be off and could've taken longer.
So you must be wondering, What the hell do they do for 53Minutes? Well, a whole ton of nothing. It mostly consists of the MC (Haruo) Bitching and moaning while people praise him for his plan to kill Godzilla.
Haruo honestly is an obnoxious existence. He is the embodiment of cliched Japanese boy. He lost his parents at a young age, He's a rebel and does what he thinks is right and isn't afraid to go against authority. He's also a mastermind Genius that has no faults what so ever.
Actually, When I heard he was gonna nose dive into Godzilla and sacrifice himself, I was actually getting a bit excited hoping this annoying character would die. But sadly no.
~World Building~
So we get this god awful exposition dumb that goes on for about 10 minutes. Pretty much saying how shit Human life is and how we had to evacuate Earth.
As soon as I realized that this film is gonna be about Humans leaving Earth. I realized I wasn't gonna like this film. It's such a dumb thing to do. If you have the power to make long-lasting Spaceships and Warp capability. Wouldn't it just be easier to lead Godzilla onto a Giant ass rocket and send his ass into space? The story tells us no reason as to why or how come they can't. This honestly seems like a way more practical thing to do then Humans abandoning Earth. I also always hated this Plot development in stories.
We are also told that... Fucking Aliens are in this. This shitty new development happened during the Exp dump. It's just like " Hey Yeah Monsters are really being a nuisance, Also there are Aliens" They don't really offer anything and have no special abilities or appearances that are different than Humans. You'd also think that fucking Aliens with would be able to do shit. Such as towing an Astroid right onto Godzilla or something. Not only just one Alien race shows up. But two. I really want to know the chances that they'd just show up at that moment when Earth needed them.
~Action & Weapons~
The action in this is pretty bad. Earth is completely taken over in this new form of mutated plants and Monsters. Barely some ruins still exist of a city. But you get no Godzilla destroying cities or anything. It all takes place in some forest that looks really bad. There is no real scale of the Size and destructive power of Godzilla. It looks like some slightly tall monster is fighting against a bunch of small Robots. The New Godzilla that Is over 300M or about as tall as the Empire state building if I remember correctly. He doesn't look that menacing at all. He's just there and all we see is some tall monster.
The weapons in this are all futuristic. We aren't ever told the power they hold behind them or anything. But let's say you see an Attack Helicopter like an Apache or a Tank like the M1 Abrams. You know that these are powerful machines and are not something to be trifled with. So when you see them doing nothing against a Godzilla then you realize how great of a Monster this thing is. But these futuristic weapons that don't seem to have any power or weight behind them with stock audio sounds. It's just kind of boring watching. How are we meant to know what these weapons are able to do and how effective they are. They just look like stock explosions going off.
Then there are some small things that make no sense. Like why do these Landing Ships have Unguided bombs? Modern Militaries don't even use Unguided bombs nowadays. So when we get scenes where a ton of bombs drop but most of them land nowhere near Godzilla, I can't help but feel annoyed. This wouldn't be a problem if you were using a more precise weapon. There are more examples of annoying small things.
Here is the most annoying thing. The entire time that Humans on Earth were Fighting Godzilla, They never once thought about his weakness? It seems really obvious and when we are told that they dropped an over the top 150 Nuclear Warheads and it didn't even kill him. It makes no sense. It's even more laughably dumb when some edgy kid on a spaceship 20 years in the future can figure that out but not all of the worlds best scientist with the impending destruction of the human race can't figure out.
Hell, We are shown that a bunch of rocks are able to stop the Godzilla that is fought in this film. I really got to wonder if this was just an unstoppable monster or Natural Selection at work.
~Characters~
I talked about this a bit earlier in the review. But let's talk about the Characters.
Haruo- Like I said earlier. He's the cliche Japanese schoolboy with a dark past and is somehow really skilled even with no training or experience in anything. He literally is just a kid on a spaceship. His constant ranting is not fun and his zero regard to human life is annoying.
Memphis- Is one of the Aliens. He is pretty much just an Elf. That's how the entire race is portrayed. An Elf. All wise and skilled with a strong devotion to something.
Mulu- Is also an Alien and is pretty much just a Beastman you see. The "Alien" Races in this are pretty much just reskinned versions of Fantasy roles we see so commonly in stories. Nothing original about them. This dude is no different.
Yuuko Tani- is actually surprisingly the only character I liked kind of. She's the only one that has some interest to her character. It's kind of interesting seeing her question whether or not her Grandfather's shuttle was sabotaged or not. She also is the only one that doesn't do anything obnoxious really. I'd say she is a decent character that you may find in other popular shows and an excellent character in this. I actually think she should be the MC instead of what we got.
~Animation~
Now lets talk about the Animation. It's completely CGI besides the Expo dump at the start and that's in 2D stock images.
The animation is decent. I quickly got used to the weirdness of it. I think Kimono Friends has much more appealing animation than this.
The issue for me is the Environment and monsters look bad. I don't know if it's cause of the restrictions with the program they used to animate. But the Environments all look the same with no detail and has an uncanny appearance. It's kind of hard for me to explain.
Then We get to the monsters. They are just not good. They all have this weird look that just doesn't seem right. The Godzillas now. That's something else entirely.
They look so bad that I almost laughed. They look like a group of muscles put together. Nothing about them looks even decent and I never thought I'd actually say this. But the '98 Godzilla looks better and more like a Godzilla then these things.
Overall, Is this thing bad? Yes defiantly. Is this the worst thing ever? No. But it's not good. It's insultingly boring and bad. This is the first time I've rated a show I've watched this low. I think you are more likely to find interest out of something like Boku No Piku then this.
Edit: i forgot to mention this. But I only remember ever hearing one song throughout the entire movie. It was at the ending credit scenes. So you get a lot of quite scenes that don't fit. The one song we do get I actually think is pretty good and doesn't fit being in this story.

I like to think of this show as PopTeam Epic but good.
I honestly find this funny with very little in the way of complaints.
I honestly adore Olivia's design. I like her personality and that character model. Even the voice actor fits so well. I also like that she isn't dumb like you see a lot with her characters. I'd love to see her more in other shows or even characters like her. For some reason, I kind of feel disappointed that she doesn't know any English or has ever been to America. I do want to see her mother and what she's like.
...
From what little Yuri themes are in this, I ship it.
The animation is surprisingly good. It really fits with the comedy. Always expecting to see some Slice of Life story but you get this.
The intro and outro I feel deserve some praise. The Intro shows this calming and adorable scene ( There is a kind of funny part where Olivia suddenly turns to the camera) It's what you expect for Slice Of Life stories. But the Outro is the complete opposite of it being Heavy Metal with weird visuals. It's a really good contrast.

I am pleasantly surprised by this. I originally thought this would be just a story that is overly dark and only exists to fulfill one's Torture fetish.
I like the characters. They're all pretty nice except two. I'll get to them later. I like the MC and her personality along with character design. I think the Two senpai's of the group ( Or whatever they'd be called) Have the best design.
I do think the Trap and the Trap teacher is the worst part of the story. I initially saw the Gender Bender tag and Torture tag and I thought this was gonna be some awful Castration
...
crap. Thankfully not.
I find the Adult Trap teacher weird. He has boobs even though he's a guy. So either he has some weird genetic disease or he's been getting some work done on making himself have boobs.
There is a real lack of torture which is the complete opposite of what I initially thought about me thinking this was gonna have too much Torture. We rarely ever see any torture happen and when we do, It's really tame then from what I was expecting.
Overall I think this is a fun story to read when you can.
