Both are shonen series revolving around the Italian mafia that involve fights with supernatural abilities.

Gangster related story arcs, outrageous violence, fights featuring assassins, & a main character whose friends are criminals.

This novel might not be canon, but it's definitely a great one. The creativity that can be seen in its pages and how it uses an underutilized character from part 5 and it makes them a great protagonist make it a MUST READ for any Jojo fan.

A bunch of hot people with a blonde leader work to take over the underworld. Focus on combat other than guns to gain ground (sun ken = fists and jojo=stands). Both make you wake up feeling so horny.

Two stories about young people getting caught into the world of gangsters. Both use non stop action as their way of telling their stories and also have emphases on both family and the bonds of found family.

Protagonists are de facto criminals (pirates/mafia). They frequently engage in fights against other criminals. Both involve supernatural powers through which the fights are conducted. The power system has unique ability given to a single person (no one other has the exact same ability). Both manga have original character designs and interesting fashion choices.

Protagonists are group of criminals brought together for the sake of commiting crime (mafia/thief group). Both manga are set in Italy and include real world Italian landmarks.

Although they do not have many themes in common, one can remind you of the other thanks to the italian setting or in the atmosphere and the vibes that you get while reading it. It's very subtle but the feels are the same.
