This is a long-running manga series with 20 volumes and many sequels plus a live-action series.

It is mostly episodic. Most cases are covered in single chapters. Some cases take a few chapters to finish. It uses a very satisfying formula: Revenge against the scums/evil. Terrible people get what they deserve. The scenarios are interesting because they are very much based on real issues. You can imagine something like that happening for real. Shady credit card scam, out-of-control teenager crime (they only gets sent to juvie), identity theft, bullying, plain old lie, etc. Some of them are based on international situations such as anti-japan education ...

Mixed Feelings

I've found this manga by accident and decided that it is worth reviewing.

This is a very odd and messy work. It holds resemblance to Outer Zone, Eko Eko Azarak, perhaps also Mephisto, Hell Girl etc. There's no mysticism here, though, all things are done by normal humans. Oh, and it also resembles heavily Yamikin Ushijima-kun, though Yamikin is much more bleak.

It does have a lot of problems. For example, characters do that japanese thing where a villainous character is likely to be ugly, or if he/she isn't ugly, then during the moment where they act with malice, their face gets distorted strongly to accentuate that ...
