This is an odd work.
It starts off poorly. With characters resembling caricatures, with exaggerated faces that are realistic but designed to look ugly.
However, in time, it improves, gets better and touches more complex subjects.
The chapters always remain somewhat short and it tends to turn into a battler often. The art is good and on a realistic side. The story can be somewhat simplistic at times. Lots of sex, violence, betrayals, disgusting human beings in the work. I would say it somewhat resembled Denjin-N and a few other works like that in visuals. The author also knows how to draw cute girls.
I believe that in the
...
end it was an enjoyable ride, watching the story fully unfold and reach its ending. The story is not perfect, some things felt a bit forced, and there were some odd choices here and there, but good visuals and imperfect, but interesting premise was worth reading it in the end.
So if you you're looking for a bit of body horror, gore, and plenty of occasional sex, this is worth checking out. It is worth checking out that this is definitely an adult work, and it frequently touches many dark subjects.
Overall I would rate it as 6 out of 10. Which is gaussian rating with 5 being normal, 1 being the worst thing that ever existed, and 10 being the best.

I think this will be my last review. Over the course of years (with the very first review written in 2016) I've reviewed 200 works, and originally planned to stop at 100th review, but continued. However, very few people read things I write, occasionally they argue in comments, and with the changes to the rating I don't feel much point in continue. I'm not 100% sure that I won't ever review a single thing ever again, but at the moment this feels like that's it.
To those who read my stuff: thank you, I hope you enjoyed it.
Have fun.

I've found this manga by accident and decided that it is worth reviewing.
This is a very odd and messy work. It holds resemblance to Outer Zone, Eko Eko Azarak, perhaps also Mephisto, Hell Girl etc. There's no mysticism here, though, all things are done by normal humans. Oh, and it also resembles heavily Yamikin Ushijima-kun, though Yamikin is much more bleak.
It does have a lot of problems. For example, characters do that japanese thing where a villainous character is likely to be ugly, or if he/she isn't ugly, then during the moment where they act with malice, their face gets distorted strongly to accentuate that
...
"this is a bad guy/girl". It is hard to describe in words, but you've probably seen it thousands of times if you read a lot.
The series also handle dark adult subjects without any subtlety or delicacy. There's murder, sexual violence, prostitution, betrayal, suicide, killing of minors, etc. The series use sexual violence VERY often, to a worrying degree. This isn't porn, however, and while there's nudity, full-frontal unobscured nudity is rare. There are also people being painfully killed, stabbed into face, though this also isn't a gore title, you only occasionally see fingers flying off onscreen.
Then there's a problem with antagonists, as they're frequently pushed a bit too far away into darkness and end up barely resembling human beings, becoming a bit one dimensional. Basically, this is very messy.
However, many stories work. While the stories are mostly one-two episodes long and are self-contained, most of the time even if they're not ideal, they make sense. And even if their formula strongly resembles the original Eko Eko Azarak (someone does something bad, gets punished and suffer horrible things), this work is better and characters are more believable/life-like in Eko Eko.
So, in the end it is a mess of good and bad, but overall somehow the good outweighs the bad. So you get a title that is somewhat enjoyable, even though it has many obvious flaws and problems.
Therefore, 6/10 story, 6/10 art, 5/10 character, 5/10 enjoyment, 6/10 overall.
It is worth checking out, but this is definitely not for faint hearted and definitely not for children, due to adult topics it is dealing with.

It is the good anime of the season and you should probably watch it.
If you've read the manga, then this is an adaptation, meaning they've transformed the work for the new medium instead of following the original to the letter. The transformation worked out great, although I feel they made Anya more child-like in the process.
If you haven't read the manga, then you're in for a treat, and likely will enjoy it a lot, as you don't know what's coming yet.
Overall... good, stylish art, likeable opening/ending, unusual characters and characters and their interactions are not cliches, plus the setting itself is very interesting (early to
...
mid faux 20th century). There's occasional use of cg in crowds, but you need to look at the frame with magnifying glass to spot it, and it is better than the usual alternative (still scenes with soundtrack). Actually, thinking about it, the animation is well done, without obvious cost-cutting tricks.
What I've seen so far, I liked, and by 4th episode it managed to even get better. So it is a careful 7/10 for now, with potential to become 8/10.
I recommend to check it out.
7/10 strory, 7/10 art, 7/10 sound, 7/10 character, 7/10 enjoyment, 7/10 overall.
P.S. I'm using "gaussian" rating for reviews, meaning 5 is decent/watchable/average, 10 is the best thing that ever existed, and 1/10 is the worst. So this is good and worth watching.

It is decent, average, but not awful. It is also peaceful (for now. There are hints).
It also features extremely awkward attempts at fanservice.
Imagine a JRPG game, like Disgaeia. With characters, classes and npcs. And imagine if those npcs were managing an house rental agency. Not protagonsit, but background characters. This anime feels like that. As if it was a slice of life of npc characters from some game like disgaea or another JRPG (final fantasy tactics, maybe?).
Characters are half-chibi. Fairly big headed, in artistic terms, i'd say they're four or five heads tall (a full chibi is 3 heads tall). They ALMOST look like
...
isometric chibi characters you'd see in some of the japanese videogames. Eyes are bigger than usual, and are set lower and further apart than usual. It doesn't look awful, but you sort of notice it, but then get used to it. There are few occasional non-chibi characters, but they're uncommon.
The story is calm type, focused on all-girl cast, but unfortunately it also means that there's a lot of polite smiling at each other involved. The anime also attempts fanservice, and... the anime handles it poorly.
There's cute genki/childish/comedic relief present, although characters usually act in somewhat stiff manner and do not show their personalities that well.
There seems to be an overarching plotline going on, but so far there were only occasional hints at it. Aside from it, it is just slice of life in fantasy world.
So it is average across the board, but not bad and might be worth checking out if you have free time and want something peaceful.
5/10 story, 6/10 art, 5/10 sound, 5/10 character, 5/10 enjoyment, 5/10 overall.

It is awful.
First they try to pull the Goblin Slayer intro and start the series in the worst way possible. Then they forget about it all, and spend time making pretty much slice of life with a cute mascot. Then few people get slaughtered in graphic fashion. Then bunch of characters act in completely idiotic way, and then they try some awkward fanservice.
Honestly, the only good points about this are nice backgrounds and decent music. Everything else is mostly wasted potential.
The main issue is that I've found main character to be insufferable. He is incredibly powerful, but most of the time is acting in silly
...
or incompetent manner, and basically he has the same problem as Kenshiro had in Fist of the North Star. Meaning when somebody is in trouble, he has ability to intervene at no risk, and he doesn't do that and patiently waits for sufficient number of people to get hurt. It is pretty much impossible to watch without facepalming.
It doesn't help that source material wasn't great to begin with.
By the way, this anime uses CG, and main character due to complexit of his armor is often portrayed with a CG model. CG is far better than what was present in Goblin Slayer, but it is possible to notice it.
So, long story short...
2/10 story, 6/10 art, 5/10 sound, 2/10 character, 2/10 enjoyment, 2/10 overall.
The main issue is poorly done characters and poorly done main character who does not exactly act in reasonable way and instead is infuriating.
I do not recommend this, and I'll be dropping those series.

This is an "overpowered reincarnated kid noble" type of work.
BUT.
It is very cleverly written and stands out from the never-ending pile of other works like this.
What's important. No harem collection. The kid is stoic, doesn't blush all the time, doesn't act awkwardly around people. Reincarnation is quickly thrown out of the picture, but it might be brought up again at some point. One thing that stands out the most that this does not devolve into a cheap power trip, wish fullfillment, and MC by some sort of miracle does not devolve into a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Meaning when he does something, he gets praised,
...
but what he does is logical, and normally you don't quite see this coming. So it turns into a "what's gonna happen next" sort of expectation. There's no cuteness overload, and while side characters tend to praise MC for something he did, this doesn't exactly come off as "fake" or "forced". It feels reasonable.
Additionally, the art is nice. It is detailed and thorough. Not berserk, but definitely above average.
One minor problem is that sometimes the story moves a bit too quickly, moving through events. But this is not awful. Another problem is that MC spents huge amount of money, and it doesn't seem to run out. But, then again, it is not awful.
6/10 story, 6/10 art. 6/10 character, 6/10 enjoyment, 6/10 overall.
I believe this is worth checking out.

It is seriously not good.
I'm quite certain that this particular author created at least few more works with overpowered heroine, and they went nowhere. This one lasted the longest out of all of them, but....
Basically, this is a story of Mary Sue. The character can teleport between our world and fantasy world, and bring things over. The thing is, while there are some interesting moments, the problem is Mary Sue heroine which solves everything with ease, and additionally every character she meets pretty much becomes her ally, while every obstacle is easily overcome.
This type of work can be fun, for example, "Isekai Smartphone to Tomo
...
Ni" and "Death March Kara" has similar main character, but in case of "Death March" there's a cast of side characters which are fun to watch, and in case of "Isekai Smartphone", there's some fun to be had watching protagonist pick the most ridiculous solution to a problem.
Here, though, it is just mary sue through and through.
The positive thing about this title is that artwork is good. It is a bit stereotypical, but heroine is pretty/cute type, side characters are drawn well, backgrounds weren't awful, it is pleasaing to the eye.
The story, however, finally got to my nerves atr chapter 70, and I've decided to drop this for good. Because the Mary Sue story lacks compelling elements. No amazing side characters, no good comedy relief, it is all about putting the heroine onto a pedestal and easily getting out of any sort of "trouble". Frankly, there's potential, but it has not been realized well.
3/10 story, 6/10 art, 3/10 character, 4/10 enjoyment, 4/10 overall.
Might be worth checking out for the sake of artwork, or if you can stomach the obvious Mary Sue protagonist.

This is a huge collection of shorter horror stories each usually spanning several chapters.
The author is not very good at drawing, meaning that while there's distinct style in the artwork, it sort of gives a slightly amateurish feel to it. So if you wanted another "solo leveling" or "her summon", this ain't it, and you should be comparing it to something like "with the gods" by Joo Ho Min. Meaning not that great art, but interesting stories and themes.
Despite art work not being great, this seems to be authors life work of sorts, due to sheer size of it. The stories vary greatly in quality,
...
some are silly, some are more serious, and many are very creepy, some are dark or involve death, and many involve some sort of body horror. Over time there are recurring themes, characters, some concepts are revisited, explained and evolve. Some themes are truly unexpected and while they do not become fully surreal like, say "Dainana Joshikai Houkou", they ARE unusual tales, like the name suggests.
The characters are... life-like. They do look like humans, although some of those humans are not exactly great people.
I recommend this work if you enjoy weird and strange events in manga/manhwa, if you liked "propeller heaven", "soil", "uzumaki", "dainana joshikai houkou", "wakusai closet" and the like. It is not as great as uzumaki, it does not have completely alien events like wakusei closet, but it is unusual, it is different from many works, and reading it and tryign to figure out what is going to happen next was quite enjoyable.
6/10 story, 4/10 art, 5/10 character, 6/10 enjoyment, 5/10 overall.

Long story short.
It has fanservice. It is not over the top, it is not nudity all over the place, not but it is definitely written with fanservice in mind, there are half-undressed women, etc.
The chapters are very short.
The visuals, however, are quite good. Detailed characters, nice and well drawn.
Highly stereotypical character behaviors.
No darkness, the series are very calm.
The author might have a thing for people soiling themselves. This happens more than once, and it is unclear if the author is into it, or has some sort of fetish.
This title sort of resembles Isekai Nonbiri Nouka, and depicts mostly everyday life of an overpowered main
...
character. There's a twist, of course, but overall Nouka was more fun due to being able to display more world building.
The main reason to read this is visuals, as they're good, but at the same time, because the chapters are really short the story doesn't really advance much and some things are spread across chapters. Characters are walking stereotypes, mostly, but some of them are fun stereotypes. Some, but not all, unfortunately.
Visuals aside, and all things considered, I do not think this title is that great and I'll be putting it on shelf. More could be done with the story, characters and the world. It is worth checking out for visuals, but does not really make an entertaining read. I'll be dropping it.
4/10 story, 7/10 art, 4/10 character, 5/10 enjoyment, 4/10 overall.

Propeller Heaven, Wakesei Closet... this manga heavily resembles them, sans horror aspect. It is best described as surreal slice of life with comedy elements.
This manga is following everyday lives of some highschool girls which live in a distant(?) future(?). There's no overarching storyline most of the time, every chapter the manga introduces some absolutely bizarre plot device or event, and the chapter revolves around it, and then it is usually not brought up again. The bizarre thing can be an item, a person, a place an event, anything. The "thing" usually is completely out there to the extreme, and the work frequently becomes completely surreal
...
as a result.
I would not call this a comedy, by the way - while the characters are with somewhat simple personalities fitting for a typical slice of life (with one of the main characters being almost stereotypical friendly, but not incredibly smart character), the manga often has heavy philosophical overtones which actually resembles some of the animes by Mamoru Oshii.
I highly recommend this one, because it is very unusual. The main reason to check it out is dealing with bizarre parts. It is interesting, and it is not quite possible to predict what's going to happen in the next chapter. It is a pity that not a whole lot off chapters have been translated.
7/10 story, 5/10 art, 6/10 character, 7/10 enjoyment, 7/10 overall.
