Synopsis

Erika Shinohara is a firm believer that in high school, one's life is decided in the first two months. This belief leads her to befriend Marin Tachibana and Aki Tezuka, two girls who exclusively talk about their boyfriends. Lacking a boyfriend, Erika is forced to make one up to fit in with her friends. She even goes so far as to take a not-so-discreet photo of a handsome young man on the street, hoping to pass him off as her boyfriend. Unfortunately, Erika's friends recognize the man in the photo as Kyouya Sata, a popular student. Realizing that she could be exposed as a liar, Erika seeks out Kyouya and proceeds to explain the situation.

At first, Kyouya's reaction seems too good to be true, but seconds after, he orders her to act like a dog. It is at this very moment that Erika realizes she has messed up, but anything for inclusion, right? Will Erika be able to handle the weight of her lies as she tries to find a way out of this masochistic relationship, or will she see Kyouya for more than what he shows?

So I was reading the other reviews before I started to write this. And well from what I saw, you might have gotten a really bad impression on this manga, huh?
But honestly people shouldn't judge it based on reading just a few chapters. Some of them rated this series even without getting to the part where the protagonists get together. So take my advice and read this. Its worth it a hundred times!
The manga in itself is just a cliché. But who hates cliché? I don't really. In fact I was caught off guard by many of the events even when expecting it. It might ...

Mixed Feelings
I am uncertain whether to give this manga a 6or 7. I decided on 6 because while I really like the ending enough to bump it up a bit, it still didn't make up for everything else. The manga is simply really basic (if anything to make it different, more abusive). It's a combination of typical archetypes and story arcs. It has the overnight hot springs chapter, the "are they cheating on each other?" chapter, the field trip chapter, heck even the area of their field trip is generic: Kyoto/Hokkaido, and other common scenes that you find in other manga. And nothing is done differently. ...

I am amazed that this series has such a high average (currently ~7.8), considering it is one of the worst shoujo manga I have read. But, if you're like me, you'll read the series to the end because you're running out of lengthy shoujo and you keep hoping that it will improve.

It does improve a little...somewhere in the 30's. Up to that point I was astonished that a series could so blatantly promote blind, unwarranted devotion from a naive girl towards an abusive, sadistic guy. I read some of the fan's comments throughout the later chapters, and I was surprised to read ...
